UTMB Spring 2010

Published

Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.

ms sealy, what did you mean by "we should know by tomorrow" did you mean that we should know if we got in by tomorrow, or did you mean something else? thanks!

An MIC is a Minor in Consumption, which is not a felony...I googled it lol. And when I take my liscensure exam it will already be expunged from my record :) I'm not sure if it will even show up on my background check, but if it does I can explain that at the interview for sure!!! AH!!! I wish I wouldn't have been so stupid when I was younger lol.

kgoodson...we should have the results of background check by tomorrow...in plenty of time before the interview, and since the committee will have our background checks in hand..they should be able to make a decision right after the interview!

oh ok katie lou..i never heard of that...i'm not sure how all that works, but you can definitely talk with them about it if it shows up. i think we will get to see the results of the investigation once its completed tomorrow.

ok, I am so mad. why does UTMB get to wear orange scrubs and PVAMU has to wear white? LOL!!!! What the hey? what happen to the purple thats on the pics?

bait and switch ..bait and switch...bait and switch

Jazzy..something tells me you already put your money down on PVAMU :crying2:

Hey guys! I still have not received my confirmation email from UTMB. They called me to schedule the appointment (because they had a question about one of my classes) but have yet to send the email. If anyone would be nice enough to post the email (minus the personal information) or send it to me in a private message I would greatly appreciate it! I just want to see what it says!!! I want to be prepared for Friday and make sure I don't miss ANYTHING!! If no one feels comfortable doing this I understand.

I can't wait to meet everyone!! I hope we all get in and get that much closer to living our dream!!

Hey everyone! I'm new to this thread. I have an interview this friday and was wondering the probability of getting accepted. I'm SOOO NERVOUS!! I only applied to 2 nursing schools this spring 2010 and was already rejected by the other one. I'm not very good at interviews and tend to stutter and stumble across words to get my point out. ugh!!!!! Does anyone have any advice?

Ms Sealy, right now PVAMU is my for sure acceptance and might me be my only since I didn't get an interview for UTMB. I already finished the required steps for PVAMU: criminal background, drug screen and so on. I learned to never put all my eggs into one basket because that basket my break and leave you with nothing.

But I do hope to still be part of the drinking ceremony after the interviews or acceptance because I am sure in need of hurricane. LOL!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I am new to allnurses.com. :coollook:

Hi kcalalang,

I used to be very bad at interviews also, but I have learned over the years how to calm my nervousness and shyness. Be sure to practice. There are some good interview questions a couple of pages back on this thread. Have someone read those questions to you and practice the answers you will give. Sometimes it even helps to get decked out in the interview clothes you will wear - shoes included. It makes it more real. Remember your body language - don't wring your hands or cross your arms. Be sure to look the interviewer in the eye when you're answering your questions. They were very nice on my interview. I was one on one with the interviewer. Just relax and take some deep breaths and let your inner calm come out.

Good Luck!

Deb.

PS: Don't forget to smile!

I got accepted to BACC2 spring 2010.

Does anybody know how intense the BACC2 and how many failed and went to generic?

The reason I asked is I am in San Jac ADN program right now finishing adult 3 and still not sure if I can handle the pressure of BACC2.

Looking forward on your reply.

I plan to commute because my wife and I have a home in Pearland.
