Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.
Welcome one and all!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sherbevs.........I don't know about BACC2 but I hear San Jac is pretty intense but if you can make it there I'm pretty sure you won't have any problems. Also, if you can study by yourself because from what I understnd is that its mostly DE. OH, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you get an acceptance letter? Prof. *** was the one who interviewed me. She was very nice. How about you?
The clinical in San Jac is very hard and they fail students in clinicals. Most of us goes to our clinical with only 2-4 hours sleep. They require us to pick a patient a day before clinical and submit during clinical at 630 AM.
sarah_ashley, I was accepted over the phone by Dr. *****, because Dr . ***** and her are still looking at my courses taken at San Jac and which nursing classes they will transfer.
I spoke to *****, and she do not have a specific time frame on when she can mail my acceptance packet.
My econnect change even before I received the acceptance package..My package says Nov 20, 2009. Deadline to accept or decline. I just mail my package on Tuesday because of the holiday, there might receive it Monday. But I will start calling them by Friday this week.
Are you guys done with the flu shot (bacterial minginglitis) and health insurance for the semester?

Kcalalang, I am feeling the same way as you. I've never done an interview before...but from what I hear UTMB makes you feel really comfortable and relaxed. It's not like a Miss America pageant where you have TONS of people watching you...I think it's a one on one deal. So my advice would be to breathe, think about your answer, smile and speak as if you were talking to a professor or boss. Be professional, but have fun. I may be totally wrong, but that's how I feel about it. You want them to see that you're a genuine person but also outgoing. That's one thing they look for!!!
