Nevermind y'all. I keep going back and forth on what to do because we have three different sets of instructions. I am just going to read 2,3, and 11 in health assessment because that is what she wrote in the email. The syllabus doesn't say that we cover the interview and all the other information in the other chapters until next week. We shall see I guess!

Ok- now that I have looked over it again. My take is that we are supposed to read chapters 4,5, and 6 for class on Tuesday and even though we are not having lab this coming week we are to read chapters 2,3 and 4 for our lab readings. (I'm still confused about Patho./Pharm though)

Confused now! So did everyone receive the changes for health assesment in your UTMB email? Are you going to read what it says to read in the orientation handout for that class or what it says to read in the email!? If you try to read both that is 6 long chapters! I'm just really not sure what is being asked of us for the first day of class. Also for Patho. Pharm. the handout said to read Module 1... but the syllabus says to read 1&2??? Help! What are y'all going to do?

So are yall going to read both (like the syllabus says) or just number 1 (like the handout given at orientation says)??

I have all of my books. I bought a few at the bookstore while I was looking for my apartment. Huge mistake! WAY too expensive! I bought the rest of them from amazon.com for much cheaper!! I am still missing one though because it has not been "released" by the publisher yet.

thanks ms. sealy! hummmm- now to figure out what to wear. my original plan was jeans and a t-shirt but i guess that is not going to work now! :)

Stupid question: Does anyone know what we are supposed to wear for orientation? Scrubs or regular clothes. I know they take our picture for our badge which made me think that we need to wear scrubs. I have no clue! On another note. I got an apartment at the Villa Marina apts. right next to campus. They have gotten some pretty bad reviews in the past. But they have new managment and I have heard they have changed their ways. I am in the new building on Harborside Dr. (as opposed to the older ones a little further down on Ferry Rd.). I am on the bottom floor (which I am not too excited about). All the bottom floor apartments had to be redone after Ike- so I have all new everything (carpet, appliances, bathtub etc.) and I will be the first one to live in it. The rent in $809/month but with ALL bills paid- so it's not a bad deal. Anyone else found a place in Galveston yet? Hope everyone is enjoying our last few days of freedom!!! :)

I received my financial aid stuff yesterday. I am getting a federal loan that amounts to about $6,000/semester. Once tuition and fees are taking out that only amounts to $2,000 for books/supplies/living per semester! I am looking into some private loans as well!

Hey everyone! Just checking in with y'all! Things seem to be moving along pretty quickly! I am still looking for a place in Galveston. There are things I really like and really don't like about everything I have seen. With my budget I know I am not going to get much. My main concern is that I want to feel safe. I am nervous about having a roommate because I have heard some HORROR stories about roommates from my friends-lol. I was thinking about just signing a 6 month lease somewhere so that once we get to school and everyone gets to know each ohter etc. I might find some possible roommates.

thanks me. sealy! i am going to look into the ones you mentioned! i am feeling really stressed out all of the sudden- but i realize that i am blessed to have this stress!! i could be crying about not getting in which would be way worse! :)

Is anyone moving to Galveston? I am but my budget it pretty tight. I have been looking for apartments but I am finding it hard to find something decent. Has anyone found anything they like?
