UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

I have been accepted to UTHSC, and considering I live fifteen minutes from it, I will be withdrawing from UTMB. For those on the waitlist, acceptances for UTHSC are going out and I know many have applied to both, so I'm sure a few spots will be opening soon.

CONGRATS! I was accepted to UTHEALTH also but will be declining since I will going to UTMB instead. Wish you the best of luck!

I received an email from admissions today informing me that I am on the priority wait list, and if I don't get admitted in spring, I will automatically get accepted for summer. Did anyone else get this?

I did! But mine didn't say automatic acceptance in summer it said automatic consideration for summer

Yes, mine said that also. I don't think it's automatic acceptance rather we would be prioritized to be considered first if that make sense?

sorry, I misread my email. You're right, it's automatic consideration for the summer, not automatic acceptance (I wish). Either way, I'd rather get in for the spring, so I hope there's room for us to get accepted!!

I also received this email, I wonder how many other people did as well? I will have to take microbiology in the spring because my college schedule is all over the place. If I were accepted for spring, I would have to turn it down anyway. I am rolling my application for summer 2015. Waiting to hear back from UTMB about it right now, actually. I asked what my chances are for summer acceptance if I roll it and they said they would get back to me Monday :)

My log-in and password officially do not work which I assume means that they've finally withdrawn me from their program. Hopefully someone gets an acceptance soon!
