UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

Hey Y'all,

I read through the whole UTMB Fall 2014 thread and thought I'd start the next semesters thread (because I couldn't find one). I know the application doesn't close until May 31st, but thought it would be helpful to start this now.

Just called them, she said to keep checking and if I don't get in I will be considered for summer without needing a 2nd interview! I think they sent me the interview email by accident

I just called the admissions office, I'm not sure when orientation is (I'm sure it is sometime in early Jan) but I was told that since tuition is due on Jan 2nd or 3rd, and since the office is closed for two weeks during late December, that the latest we would possibly hear from UTMB is before Christmas.

Not 100% sure this is accurate, bc I have heard about ppl getting accepted on the day of orientation.

Nonetheless, I am praying for a Christmas miracle lol.

Hey! I also received a call for an interview today for summer admissions. I'm not sure why, but I think it's just part of the consideration process when evaluating your admissions to their summer program - even though they are suppose to automatically consider you... I asked the person about the spring wait list and they answered that I still could be pulled off the wait list, the like someone mentioned earlier the interview is a "formality" for summer admissions.

A friend of mine who was wait listed for spring received her acceptance for summer, and she never had to do an interview all over again. Maybe it's an error on UTMB's end that yall are receiving interview emails.
