UTMB Spring 2015 Applicants

I wanted to apply for Spring 2015 but I have not taken the TEAS (just HESI) so I will be waiting until summer.

You have until May 31st before the application closes, so there's still time.

But the TEAS has to be taken before then? I feel like I won't have enough time to study for it.

I'm also applying for the Spring 2015 term. I just took my TEAS exam yesterday and I already got my scores. I'm not sure if it is competitive enough which is why I'm sort of freaking out.

I got a composite score of 77.3%...I don't think I'll have enough time to retake it so it will have to do. My cumulative GPA is a 3.8 and my prereq GPA is around a 3.96. I've heard the personal statement can make or break you. I'm so nervous about applying and the deadline is coming up. :/ Hopefully you guys are on track and ready to apply!!!

It sounds like you should still be fine. Your GPA is high so that will hopefully offset the TEAS score (although I don't think it needs off-setting, because it's still good). Hopefully we'll be seeing each other in the Fall. I applied two days after it opened, so now it's just a nerve racking waiting game. :)

Thanks. I'm pretty sure my TEAS score wasn't competitive enough it was in the high 60% I don't remember exactly what it was. But I hadn't taken chemistry or basic biology at the time so that added to my low score. My actual grades consist of A's and B's, so my GPA is around 3.6ish, I only retook one course, no drops. I am also a member of PTK, I am a CNA, I do volunteer work at my church, and I am a mother and wife. I am actually graduating Saturday with my AS.

With that said I think it was my TEAS score

Oh and this time around my transcript will actually indicate that I am a member of PTK. And the completion of biology, chemistry, and Texas government will be on my transcript. I plan on taking the TEAS before the deadline. That's pretty much the only things that will be different on my application. I have been studying for the TEAS for a while now. I just hope I get a competitive score that will get me that acceptance.

Well your grades look high. Did you retake your TEAS and get a better score?

I hope I make an 80%+. That's my goal. I haven't taken it yet. I plan to take it before the deadline though. Just trying to fin an open slot.

I have scheduled to take the TEAS on the 19th (fingers crossed).
