  1. Hello everyone! I have a question concerning prerequisites. I need to complete 2 courses in order to be entirely done with the pre-reqs. Does anyone know if Humanities can be substituted for the Visual Arts requirement? Has anyone taken another course that fulfilled that requirement? Also, do we need philosophy or can we substitute an upper level English course? I'm currently enrolled in ART 1301 and PHIL 1301, but I still would like to clarify all of this...Thanks!!
  2. I just received my acceptance email!!!! The relief is amazing! Congrats to all you guys that are accepted!!! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS IN JANUARY!!
  3. I received it from UTHSC Houston. I don't believe TWU sends out course evaluations? Do they?
  4. I applied to UTHSC Houston as well!! I recently received my course evaluation. Have you received yours? The wait is killing me...TWU Dallas is my first choice!
  5. Will they also take into consideration having first attempt A's on the science courses? I know they accept 110 people for the Dallas program...this makes me nervous because I didn't take classes at TWU..
  6. Hey everyone! So I retook my TEAS V Exam yesterday (2nd attempt) and am glad to say I made a cumulative score of 87.3%. Reading = 85.7 Math = 96.7 Science = 91.7 English = 76.7 My prerequisite gpa is a 3.93. I feel confident, but you jut never know... If anyone needs some last minute advice about the exam feel free to ask!!! For all those that have already applied, good luck and let the agonizing wait begin!! :)
  7. Out of curiosity and because I'm taking my 2nd attempt of the TEAS V tomorrow...how did you prepare for the reading section? My first time around the time got me and I ended up rushing at the end (with all the easy questions). Did you study something in particular and also what about the English section? THANKS!
  8. I'm retaking my TEAS this month. It's going to cut close to the deadline, but as long as I take it BEFORE the deadline I should be okay. Is anyone else on the same boat?!?!?!
  9. I was told the TWU Bump is no longer effective during the Spring 2015 admission process. So everyone has a fair chance of getting in whether you have a previous degree or have taken 32+ hours at TWU. I attended an information session at TWU Denton...has anyone heard differently?
  10. Hello!! I'm planning on applying to TWU Dallas for the Spring 2015 term. By the end of this Spring semester I will only need Chemistry which i will be taking in Maymester! My cumulative GPA is about a 3.8 and my prereq GPA is about a 3.96. I took the TEAS V Exam this past week and made a 77.3% not very happy about that. Thankfully the applicants for the Spring get a chance to take it twice!! So now I know exactly what I need to work on for the next time. A few things that tripped me up a bit on the exam was TIME MANAGEMENT and that we are not allowed to use a calculator on the math section (I didn't know this!). Other than that the exam is not impossible. The science section was wayy easier than I thought! Hopefully my second try is better. I'm aiming for a 90 or above %. I have about 3-4 months to study and I'm definitely going to put the work in!! Good luck to all of you!! So glad we have this thread for us to be able to communicate and support each other!!!
  11. Thank you! This is very helpful! I have volunteer hours at Methodist Dallas Hospital in the ER and other parts of the hospital. I also worked in an immunization clinic for an entire Summer. Hopefully that helps. Do you have any advice that could help me get into UTMB??
  12. On their website it says a minimum 58% is required and a 78% is considered competitive....? If you don't mind me asking what was your TEAS score??
  13. Hello everyone! I'm going to bud into this thread because I really need some advice over my numbers. My cumulative GPA is a 3.8 My prereq GPA is around a 3.96 I still need to finish this semester and 2 summer courses to completely be done with all the prereqs. I'm thinking I should wait till the end of this semester to apply to UTMB. (I'll send my transcripts around the 2nd week of May.) I've already taken the TEAS V exam and my score was a 77.3% (Composite) I don't think it is competitive enough and I don't think I have enough time to retake it. Any suggestions?? Thanks guys!!
  14. Hey guys!! I'm also applying for the Spring 2015 term. I just took my TEAS exam yesterday and I already got my scores. I'm not sure if it is competitive enough which is why I'm sort of freaking out. I got a composite score of 77.3%...I don't think I'll have enough time to retake it so it will have to do. My cumulative GPA is a 3.8 and my prereq GPA is around a 3.96. I've heard the personal statement can make or break you. I'm so nervous about applying and the deadline is coming up. :/ Hopefully you guys are on track and ready to apply!!!
  15. I think I'll just take it my 1st semester. I'll have 2 more classes to take in the month of May, then I'll be completely done. Thanks, again!
