UTMB FNP Fall 2015?

Hey all, just thought I start a thread for UTMB fall 2015 FNP Prospects.

I am a current RN working in SA, I actually have applied to UTHSCSA and UTMB. I am in the process of applying to Texas State and Angelo State as well. Don't know which school I'll choose in the end but just seeing if there are any fellow nurses out there in the same application process :)

Hmm... that may be a consideration if I don't hear from any other programs I applied to. Did you apply through applytexas? I'm having a hard time finding specific start-date, application deadlines for the UT Arlington program. Do you all know where I can find this information?

Yes i applied through applytexas once the application is begun their is a selection where you select a start date. I also called ut arlington for information as well.

Oh ok that's good to know. I think I am going to just wait to hear from my other schools before I apply anywhere else! It's starting to get expensive! Have y'all heard anything from any of y'alls choices? I'm still patiently waiting!

Rnjazzie12, I sent my supplemental application to Uthscsa and I'm currently waiting to find out the "verdict". I wonder how many people applied for this cycle. I'm so nervous!

Hey @manuela83, I sent my supplemental app too early last week sometime! And I have no idea!! Just waiting to hear back from all my choices! Good luck to you :)

When did you apply to the program through NCAS and when did you submit your supplemental application?

Anyone know how they send out decisions -- all at once or over a span of time?

I was just accepted at University of Texas at Arlington online FNP program. I start next month. I won't be going to UTMB since I live in Dallas won't have to worry about commuting to Galveston ever so often.So if accepted its one more spot available. Hope everyone hears great news soon!!! Thanks! I applied on the deadline and sent in my supplemental application on January 26. I have no idea how they send out acceptances. Good luck!

For anyone curious: I just called the school and they said that they have sent out some acceptances but not all yet. They've gone through a lot of the applications but haven't completed them all. The school also does send rejection emails so if they review your application and deny you - you will hear from them. As someone mentioned earlier -- they only meet once a month so it could be some time till another set of acceptances go out I assume?

Congrats KBrown! So I still have not heard anything from either of my choices. Still waiting.. But when I called she said the admission's committee just met and should be sending emails early this week as well. Good luck to everyone! Keep the faith alive :))
