UTMB Fall 2010 Application period starts tomorrow Nov. 15, 2009
Who here is applying for it?
Btw, there is the ATI TEAS entrance exam for FALL 2010.
Anyone taken it yet?
I can't seem to find the registration for it in the atitesting.com.
I'm planning on working Saturday mornings at a golf course. It's very laid back with good tips. I can afford my car payment by doing this. I'm also planning on having about $100-$200 extra taken out of my student loan for living expenses. I've decided to live with my parents for the 2 years I'll be in nursing school so I'll only need money for my car, gas and food.
Hey guys, I have decided at the last minute to apply to UTMB so I have to take the TEAS on Feb. 11th. I figure I will be ok since I just took the HESI and NET, but I am worried about ordering the study guide for the TEAS since its so close to test date.....not sure how long it will take to get here. I am wondering if I could borrow or buy someones study guide? I do live in the woodlands so if someone lives somewhat close I am willing to drive. Let me know ASAP please! Thanks!
Hey Schmaltzey:
It is the V version, not the 3.0/4.0 version. I also decided at the last minute to apply to UTMB, I took the test last Saturday. I purchased the ATI study guide, and found it to be very helpful. It only took mine like 3 days to get here, and I live in Spring just south of you. I'd let you use mine, but I forgot it when I went out of town...
Good luck to you!

Jenniferrenee,
Thank you for getting back about the study guide, I am going to order it today. So have you taken the HESI (twu) or the NET(ut)? I took the net...HATED it and did really bad however I did really well on the hesi....who knows but I am wondering if you have taken either of those which is more similar to?
That question is to anyone who has taken all 3 as well.
Schmaltzey, I took the net for UT, and did not do very well. I have never been a fan of these kinds of tests, and it has been along time since I took basic math and english grammar. I scored much better on the TEAS, in the 93% ranking. From what I have heard most people struggled on the science portion, that was my best. (I have a BS) My hardest part was the basic stuff I think I learned in Junior High and Highschool and have not used since! All in all the study guide was useful.

Melissa:
I found it helpful. I basically went thru all of it (review and the practice tests), and anything I did not know I googled and brushed up on the basics. I have a strong science background and that helped, but all in all I thought the guide was usefull.
There was more A&P questions than I excpected, which was nice. Also there was basic chemistry (I swear one of the equations you had to balance did not have a correct answer, must have been a typo). Other than that there was basic reasoning. I didn't find it to be difficult, but I'd take science over basic english and grammar anyday :0)
