Hey y'all! I will be applying for UTMB SON for fall 2020! I couldn't find a forum for it, so I decided to start one! It is a little early but many of you know it take forever to gather everything needed for the application! Please post all of your questions, stats, etc. SO excited to apply in November!

I was also accepted to UTMB and UT health.. though I do not know much about A&M's program I do know that I decided to go to UTMB for multiple reasons. For one UT health is up in the med center which I know is a plus for many people, but for me when I went up there I decided I was not very fond of the environment because it felt very overwhelming. Also UT health does pharmacology and patho at the same time where as UTMB separates it. CONGRATS and good luck on your decision!! All are great programs!!

you can take it as much as you need, but they can see every time you take it so if you take it again I would recommend making sure you are 100% ready to do well.

Hey!
Do you mind me asking when you received your BSN acceptance into UTHealth for Fall 2020?

It depends on a few things: location, time, and competitiveness. TAMU and UTH are more competitive in my opinion. TAMU is in College Station, so you'll have a college feel. I have heard UTMB also has that college town feel, but do you like being in a small beach town? UTH is accelerated, so you'll be done by August 2021, but do you want to drive into the Medical Center and pay for parking or have to take a bus/rail in? Also, living in Houston is more expensive than Cstat or Galveston. I think you need to figure out what is most important to you and pick the school that goes along with that! But congratulations!! You clearly work hard and will get a good experience wherever you go ?
