Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Fall 2020
This morning around 10:30 AM, I checked my portal (haven't gotten physical mail or email still). I got denied; I just wanted to put my stats on here for future applicants to be able to see, since it was what I looked for when I applied. I did not have any retakes, took the HESI once, this is my first cycle applying, and I did not have any hospital experience. A lot of people in a Groupme I was in had similar or slightly lower stats that did get in! So, do not be discouraged!! Good luck to everyone, and I am so so happy for those who did get in this cycle, especially to those who had been denied before. Science GPA: 4.0 Cum GPA: 3.9 HESI: 95 (100 anatomy, 94 math, vocab 90, grammar 96, and reading comp 94)

UTMB Fall 2020
It depends on a few things: location, time, and competitiveness. TAMU and UTH are more competitive in my opinion. TAMU is in College Station, so you'll have a college feel. I have heard UTMB also has that college town feel, but do you like being in a small beach town? UTH is accelerated, so you'll be done by August 2021, but do you want to drive into the Medical Center and pay for parking or have to take a bus/rail in? Also, living in Houston is more expensive than Cstat or Galveston. I think you need to figure out what is most important to you and pick the school that goes along with that! But congratulations!! You clearly work hard and will get a good experience wherever you go ?

UTMB Fall 2020
to accept, do we need to accept midnight April 3rd like Thursday night or Friday night? And we need to send in that physical paper we got as well, correct? Does that need to be received or sent by April 3? Sorry for all the questions; I just want to make sure it's right!! ?

A & P with no science background?
Hi there! Long story but I basically did not have time to take bio before A&P and I had already taken chem. I took A&P 1 and 2 with labs in the Summer in ten total weeks. That alone was beyond brutal; I had no life and was living and breathing anatomy. I made an A in all classes without taking gen bio BUT it was a struggle, I had to teach myself a lot of basic topics and knew I had to overcompensate with other areas. The real difficulty is taking Microbiology without general biology. Hope this helps!

TWU Fall 2020 Applicants
I am praying for myself and everyone on here that we find out tomorrow evening!! Just making sure, but we will receive the email from our personal email, correct? Or will we receive it in our TWU gmail account we made? Good luck to everyone!! We just have to keep in mind that everything happens for a reason (at least that's what I keep mumbling to myself whenever I check my email six times a day without anything from them).

UTMB Fall 2020
Does anybody know how/if we can just pay the $200 to reserve a spot, but decide not to go anymore? We have to respond by April 3, but I’m afraid twu will not respond before then. Also UTH won’t respond til may most likely.

UTMB Fall 2020
Hey y'all! I applied for fall 2020 on time and everything... but I'm getting emails to send in my social security number. It looks legit, but NursingCas has my SSN number and MySTAR says my app is complete and no To-Do's. This happening for anyone else?
