UTMB FALL 2019

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

hahaha me too! From what Ive seen GPA's vary anywhere over a 3.0. I feel like every situation is different and from what I've heard your personal statement can have a huge impact.

I called and asked what is a competitive GPA and Teas Score and they told me a 3.30 and 75+ on each section of the Teas is competitive. Hope this is helpful, best of luck!

Tomorrow is February! Looking at past UTMB threads, interview emails should be coming mid-February! And early admissions go out end of Feb to early March! I'm so anxious! So excited! I keep checking mystar too even though I know it's too early.

Same! I'm embarrassed at how many times a day I check my MyStar account lol I meet the criteria to be able to apply for the honors program, so I've got my fingers crossed for an early admission email. The suspense and waiting to hear anything at all is killing me!

February is coming and I’m getting super excited, but very anxious. I scored an 86 OVR on the TEAS, I did superb on math, reading, and science. However, my grammar section was low at a 67. Hopefully scoring high on the math and science will overlook my bad grammar score ? My GPA is decent at a 3.6.

Has anyone gone ahead and applied for Spring 2020 yet also??? Would doing so affect being offered admission for Fall 2019??? I'm paranoid that if I did then UTMB would see that I've applied for next cycle as well and possibly just bump me to the next semester, but I'm sure I'm just being ridiculous ?

I would wait! No sense in paying an extra application fee if you do get in for Fall! I know it's easier said than done, but patience is a virtue ?

Y'all!!!! Check mystar! My To-do list just got updated!

It's weird because it is saying that I did not upload my TEAS result. It is also showing the classes that I have left to finish.

I still haven't even received the secondary application ? NursingCAS emailed me last thursday stating one of my transcripts never made it so I had to resend it. Patiently waiting ?
