UTMB FALL 2019

Published

The UTMB Fall 2019 application opens soon on November 15! Have you started on your essay or the TEAS preparation yet? I am so excited and nervous at the same time and have been stalking past threads on AllNurses.

Currently taking AP I and Microbiology and will be taking AP II in the Spring. I hope to take the TEAS by the end of December.

Please feel free to discuss your experience, stats, comments, etc.

Good luck to all of us! :)

Hello everyone I still have not gotten response from UTMB it still showing complete on my status. God is good I got accepted at the University of Texas health Science Center in San Antonio Acclerated program to start in the summer 2019. So if I do go get accepted tab UTMB I will give up my spot so someone else can have it. Those that did not get accepted don’t give up God has a plan for you I would definitely try University of Texas health science center San Antonio they accept a lot of people when I went to the meet greet they accepted over 100 students and the group was very diverse.

@daphane1990 Congratulations ! Did you take Gen Chem 2 Lab as well? or just the lecture part to fulfill the prereq for UTHSCSA ?

@W2019 thank you yes I took the lecture part and lab part to fulfill the chemistry 2 prerequisite it was worth it

is their still anybody out there who has not received anything?

haven't heard anything

I haven’t either. I feel like if we were going to be denied or waitlisted they would have just done it already though.

I called yesterday and they said they're still reviewing applications, and I should get an email within the next couple of weeks.

I wonder how many applications they still have left to review ?

Does anyone know where they can get a hep B titer done?

There’s a page called schooltiters.com the Hep B titer is $38 but you can even get a discount & the send you to the lab closest to you. I went this week and it was super fast and convenient and I got my results back the next day but it can be up to 3 days.

Awesome! Thanks! Also, did you receive the measles titer? It says that some clinics are only accepting titers.

No I wouldn’t really know about the measles titer. The only reason I got my Hep B and Hep C titer was because Sam Houston requieres it before submitting the application.
