UTMB FALL 2015

Hello everyone! I think it's finally time for someone to start a fall thread so here it goes. I am applying to UTHSC and UTMB for fall semester. I gave my teas test today and idk if that score is good enough or not. My GPA is 4.0 and teas individual score is 81. How did everyone else do in their test?

I had no problems paying the deposit (it seems it is always easy for me to give money away). A few days after acceptance, I received my new UTMB log in and e-mail.

Hang in there everyone - I think there are still many more interviews and acceptances.

Hello everyone! I was hoping someone here well help me with this process of taking the BLS for healthcare provider course.

I went onto the American Heart Association website and ...well I'm completely confused about which course I need to take. I saw an online part 2 and classroom part 2/3 but then I found a regular classroom courses...??? I also read that the regular classroom course only gives you a course completion card and mentions nothing of a certificate.

So what do i do? Which do I take? Has anyone already taken the course and became certified? If so, please help! Thank you.

I interviewed yesterday (I was in the second round of interviews), and it went pretty well! It also really helped me make a decision, as I've already heard back from other programs and didn't know if I could wait on hearing back from UTMB.

I've officially accepted my offer to UTHSC in San Antonio. Everything is more conveniently located for me, and the clinical sites are more concentrated. The amount of commuting required for UTMB really doesn't work for me, even though they have a great program and outstanding clinical sites. Good luck to everyone who hasn't heard back, and congrats to those who have!

@ecrr You need BLS Healthcare Provider Course. AHA has several locations, just pick one nearest to you. When you schedule your appointment, make sure to let them know you need BLS for Healthcare Providers. It's a short one-day (usually) course, in the end of which they issue a CPR card valid for two years.

What's up y'all? I had my second interview yesterday. Do u guys know anything about getting interview invites twice? Who is in the same boat like me? I think I did pretty well this time and I hope I will get in. This is the only chance I have cause I already got rejected by another school. The waiting game is nerve wrecking! Yall keep me in your prayers pls!

How can we reset our mystar passwords? I set mine up and cannot figure out what username/password I used :-/

FYI. I received an email this morning requesting I submit a supplemental application. I called enrollment and explained that I had my interview the end of March and was waiting on a response. She said it may be a glitch with nursing CAS and would check into it.

I also got that email and I just called enrollment services.. They said it was a problem they were having with their system so to disregard the email.

called the lady and she said you should hear back something by the end of next week! I had two interviews: the first one was on march 13 th and the second one was on April 10th! Did anyone call the admission office pls? If so, what did they say? Did u guys have an interview TWICE?
