Any Ethiopian/habesha who got accepted pls!

JUST GOT SOME GREAT NEWS! I got accepted into UTMB! God closes one door and opens another! I applied to TTUHSC and UTMB! God works in mysterious ways! I got rejected by Tech even though I have a high GPA, teas score, and lots of hospital volunteer hrs. I thought it was over but much to my surprise I got interview invites from the UTMB and got accepted yesterday! UTMB is very competitive school. It's somewhere I never thought I would be. Now I got this crazy feeling deep inside. It's only an hour drive from Houston and we will be assigned to clinical rotation in one of the world's finest(May be number one) medical center; Texas Medical Center located in Greater Houston. I thank God for granting me beyond what I deserve and just for being nothing but God. None of these would have been possible without him! Rejection is redirection to all those that are called according to his purpose! Thank u daddy Jesus!!!

@irink I don't know! I asked them why I needed the second interview and they kept it secret. I wasn't asked many questions during my 1st interview. But the 2nd one was very detailed and lasted 45 munutes cause I asked my interviewer 4 questions after I had heard they like someone who asks them many questions. All I know is I had lots of new questions on my second interview! I hope we all get in and make our dream of becoming a nurse true. Can u please call the lady and ask her when they send out the emails and post it. The last question my interviewer asked me was about my GPA and Teas score: I told her I have 3.912 overall GPA, 82 on Teas and more than 250 hospital volunteer hrs. But I got rejected in my dream and I was crying like a baby! When I told my friend about my dream he said dreams always happen the opposite! He already got in and he is currently helping me out in prayer lol

called the lady and she said you should hear back something by the end of next week! I had two interviews: the first one was on march 13 th and the second one was on April 10th! Did anyone call the admission office pls? If so, what did they say? Did u guys have an interview TWICE?

What's up y'all? I had my second interview yesterday. Do u guys know anything about getting interview invites twice? Who is in the same boat like me? I think I did pretty well this time and I hope I will get in. This is the only chance I have cause I already got rejected by another school. The waiting game is nerve wrecking! Yall keep me in your prayers pls!

@oca2016...I feel ur pain cause I'm in the same boat like u. Never give up on ur dreams. Sometimes rejection is redirection. As I said God sometimes closes small doors to open the better ones! When I got my denial letter, I felt like the sky fell down over me. I couldn't help but broke down and cry like a baby. I gave it all I've got. There was really nothing more I can do. I called my dad who lives in Ethiopia and he told me to read Rome 8:28 and I got relief. Don't be limited by ur age. I'm 25 too and we are still young. Keep fighting and praying. God has much in store for you!!!

I GOT REJECTED! I got my denial letter yesterday. I thought I would get in after I saw some applicants who got in with a low GPA and teas score as low as 69. Simply the luck wasn't on my side. I have 3.912 over all GPA, 81.3 on Teas, and more than 250 hospital volunteer hrs but for some reason I don't understand I didn't impress them. May be I got rejected because I'm not from West Texas. They didn't even put me on the wait list. I wish I could know the demographic of their students. They keep everything secret. I have an accent but I still speak a good English. I'm foreigner but everybody was stranger once too. There are lots of dream killers in the US: your country of origin, skin color, gender, belief, economic status...u name it! Anyways I never let my head hang down. I never give up and sit and grieve. I fight till the last minute and breath. Because I still believe that nursing is my true calling. God has a reason for all that he does. He sometimes closes small doors to open the big and better ones. I never let my faith in God slip away cause of this small thing. I also believe that even when it doesn't look good, it works for the good to all those that are called according to his purpose. I STILL HAVE ONE CHANCE THO! I had my interview at the UTMB on march 13 th and I got a call last week and was told I was scheduled for the second interview on April 10th. I hope I will get in there. This is the only chance I have. Pls y'all keep your fingers crossed for me! Big congrats to those who were accepted! I have a message for those who got rejected: never give up on your dreams!!!

HELP HELP HELP! Can someone out there tell me why I got the SECOND interview invites? I had my first interview on march 13th and today I got a call from the lady and was told I need the second interview! I'm scheduled for April 10 at 11 am! I asked the lady why the second interview is needed and she said she doesn't know! Who is in the same boat like me?

Hey guys do I have any hope of getting in with these stats? Science gpa: 4.0 Overall gpa:3.912 Teas v score: 82 Hospital volunteer hrs: 230 Church volunteer hrs: 540 I had my interview on February 13 and was told it may take 2 to 4 weeks to hear back. But I haven't heard anything back yet.

@angieperry...How come she got rejected with that amazing stats? I feel sad for her! I hope she got accepted into UTMB or somewhere else! I got a call today and was told I should hear something next week but yesterday another lady told me to keep checking my email the next couple of days...next week...next week....next week...I'm tired of hearing this phrase!

Why they make this thing drag on so long? I'm tired of this silly game!
