Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?
Hello you guys I'm applying for spring 2012 I have a few questions. Do all your sciences have to be complete or just two? I was reading it the website...but I see you guys talking about all sciences. I am taking ap1 right now and holding an A. and already have taken nutrition and made a B. I'm taking micro, statics and ap2 this summer. But the deadline is June 15. I bought the yellow and black teas secrets book from barnes and noble and I hear it's not a good study guide so I'm returning it. And for those of you who have the book how long did u study it before taking the test? I studying for the hesi as well.

You only need two sciences completed to apply. You should also submit a course in progress transcript showing your summer science classes. You might want to call Enrollment Services to ensure they note all of your classes correctly (if you have read this thread at all). If you order the study book from ATI you can also get online practice tests which are just like the TEAS. I took one first, then knew where to concentrate my studying. The ATI book is very good and much like the test. The HESI AP section is a lot tougher than the study guide makes it out to be.

I have yet to hear from UTMB. They keep telling me my app. is complete... and has been since January. It doesn't really matter, though, because I've already found out from my top 2 choices and will most likely be going there.
Congratulations to the people who have been accepted! Good luck!
