Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?

For those of you that have been accepted, how long was it between your interview and receiving your acceptance letter? Also, what sort of questions did they ask; was it mainly about grades, personality, work ethic?

What time is your interview? Mine is 3:30 on 5/9. will you plan to arrive the night before ?
Hi folks, good luck with interviews! :) I don't think it would be fair to say what specific things they asked, but I will say I wasn't surprised by any of the questions.
I prepared for it exactly like I would for any job interview. Think about what kinds of things they'd be likely to ask....like, what sorts of things would they probably want to know (based on the info they already have)? Personally, I made a long list of possible questions and practiced answering them...it's not like they asked those exact questions, but it did get me thinking in interview mode.
Everyone's been saying their interviewers were really nice, and mine was too! I think y'all will do great!

As far as I can tell (by postings on here) everyone that interviewed was accepted. I don't recall anyone waiting on acceptance that already interviewed. That being said, UTMB apparently hasn't sent out declines yet, either.

Pretty much what Chaos said - just be honest. My interviewer thanked me for that.
