Hi everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread for those who are applying to UTMB for Fall 2011. There are some really great (and long!) threads out there for Spring 2011 and earlier...but as I'm sure y'all know, the application process can change from cycle to cycle, plus it's just nice to have a new thread for us. :) So feel free to post questions, comments, or anything related to applications!
I'm applying as a second-degree student to UTMB, UTHSC, TWU (Houston), UT Arlington and A&M, plus maybe the new Texas State program. Whew! I keep hearing great things about UTMB so that might be my #1....
A question to start us off: so we can now use either the centralized NursingCAS application, or the application through UTMB, right? What are you all going to do? I'm thinking of just doing UTMB's direct application....if you do NursingCAS, I think you'll have to do a supplemental UTMB application+fee anyway, so you might as well just do it all once...thoughts?

I am officially declining UTMB and heading over to TWU. I wish you guys all the best...and come May 2013 we'll all be headed down our graduation isle!!!

Ehh Im depressed. I haven't heard anything yet. I'm getting down about it majorly. Trying to stay positive, but it's soo hard. I get my associates in Biology this May and I'm not even excited about it because I'm feeling like it's all for nothing. I'm thinking about retaking the TEAS since I've almost completed Chem and Biology this semester. I got a 79 the first time without knowing much of the science section.

Ughh I am with yall guys too.... still NOTHING . I keep checking and checking my mystar and nothingggggg has changed. I am starting to get really upset!
We must have just missed each other. It went well, mainly questioned grades - discovered enrollment services had a major goof on my app, so I'm lucky I got an interview at all!! My GPA was listed at 2.71!! I had to come straight home & fax correct transcripts straight to my interviewer. I was relieved, excited, and po'd all at the same time!!

No bachelors, just two associates, EMT-I, and nursing certificate. I guess I like school :)

I emailed the Assistant Director **** to ask for my status 3 times and have not heard from her. I also called the enrollment service attendant today 4/20/11 and was told that my application is in process. God knows when i will hear from them.
Email **** at the School of Nursing and make sure they have your application. Applications first go to Enrollment Services and then to SON. You are your own best advocate! I was told by Enrollment Services that my application was being processed but it hadn't even been sent over to SON. I spoke with **** and she was a big help. I firmly believe that if I hadn't pushed to be reviewed I would not have gotten an interview in the second round.
