UTMB BACC2 Spring 2012

I wanted to start a thread for those applying for UTMB's 2012 accelerated nursing program. The application is open April 1-July 15. I was told invites for interviews start after the application is closed and interviews start end July-August. Does anyone have any additional information? Has anyone applied before? Know of any interview questions? Please share everything you know!!!!!!!

Ha, I'm kidding. Congrats though, seriously. And I'm glad to know they're finally sending them for Bacc2 applicants. One question: Did you get an email or physical letter?

Maybe I'll get an email any minute now.....

I applied for the Spring 2012 SON BACC2 accelerated program. I have been worried sick, as responses have been VERY slow. My mother and father both went here, and my mother recently just completed her masters in nursing from UTMB. She told me that UTMB didn't notify some people they were accepted until 1 month before the program started. So, responses could be VERY late. I just got an interview invitation for Oct. 6th in my email TODAY! WAY EXCITED! I now have a new set of worries, as I have NO IDEA what to expect in the nursing interview. Yay! I got an interview!!!! Email came through around 4:50. I am so grateful. My interview is scheduled on Thursday, but won't know time until Monday.

Was it a mass invite email? Seems like everyone got it at the same time...

Does anyone know if they are still sending out invites? or was that it? :(

It sounds like a mass email. It's very general. It informs you of the invite for an interview but the time was not specified.

I do not know the answer to your second question.

What are all of you doing to prepare for the interview? I haven't been in an interview for 8 years and have never had to do one for school. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know what the application pool was like? How many applied and how many got interviews?
