  1. Petitea, don't stress out about it. As long as you have taken care of everything that you needed to take care of it will eventually be updated. Mine said "in progress" even after I received an email stating that I was accepted. Though it's so hard to just sit and wait...that's all you can do right now. Good luck!
  2. Agree. Be patient. However, with so many applicants papers tend to get shuffled around and some fall through the cracks. It happened to many of us in the past. I wouldn't "hound" them, but there's no harm in calling and asking in a professional manner about the status of your application. Good luck.
  3. Hi futurepedrn22, I would suggest to call the school of nursing about once a week just to check up on the status of your application.
  4. Congrats to all who have been accepted! For those who haven't heard anything, please be patient. I am currently in the BACC2 program and many of us didn't hear anything until the very last minute. Congrats again and if you have any questions please feel free to email me as well or post on here. Take care. ~Karina
  5. ttnnc: What's your email address so I can send you the link?
  6. It's a "closed" group, so I'm thinking that is why we are not able to find it.
  7. DD where did you get those numbers from? The max UTMB is offering me is less than 15K. That's not even half of my income now. I have looked into third party loans but that is definitely going to be my last resort. Thanks for the info.
  8. I've also been looking for the facebook page but have not found one. @DD - good luck in whatever it is that you decide to do. I know it must have been a tough decision. I am still trying to figure out how in the world I am going to be able to pay for school. What financial aid offered is definitely not enough at all! I have a mortgage, car payment, and all those other things we pay for as we get older. I've also had a fulltime career for the past 5 years, so going to no steady income is really terrifying - not to add that my husband is in medical school so we have to work all of that in. UGH! Super stressed! But still excited all at the same time :)
  9. I've had pretty quick responses from enrollment services/financial aid. I too am concerned about money for school. I'm currently a teacher and there's no way possible I'm going to be able to do it if all I get is what they offered in aid. I'm really saddened and hope to find additional aid really soon (that is not a third party loan).
  10. thank you damrcngrl...this information helps a lot. I was thinking Thanksgiving time, but now that you mentioned everything that needs to get done, I think Nov. 1st is a good time. Thanks again.
  11. I just got accepted into an accelerated program that will begin in the Spring. I am currently a teacher and do not know when would be an appropriate time to let my AP know that I will not be returning. I want to give them sufficient time to find someone to replace me as well as not burn any bridges. Any suggestions?
  12. To those who have been accepted into the BACC2 program....is anyone a teacher? If so, by when do you plan on telling your AP that you will not be returning in the spring?
  13. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted! I am super excited and scared at the same time to begin this new journey in life. I think the hardest part for me is going to be quitting my job. Awwwww! This is surreal right now. For those of you not wanting to live on the island, there are some nice apartments in Texas City off of 45N and exit 15. There are also many more in League City. This area is about a 30 min drive to UTMB.
  14. It sounds like a mass email. It's very general. It informs you of the invite for an interview but the time was not specified. I do not know the answer to your second question.
  15. I just received an email as well!! :) good luck to everyone
