Alternate list for me here as well. It was such an odd interview. Very refreshing from other interviews, but I'm not sure how they could use that particular interview to qualify anyone. In my interview, we talked about the weather, hobbies, Minnesota, the school, and family. I think there was some talk about hockey as well. I felt very comfortable and confident, but I guess they didn't like whatever it is they were looking for. I'm fortunate to have been accepted to other programs, but I was very hopeful to be accepted to MSA. Perhaps they will still call if someone else turns down their spot. I'm going to email (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) and see if there is an order to the alternate list. I'll post my findings here.

Welcome Webster University's CRNA class of 2019! Admission emails went out today, and those who were accepted, congratulations! Hopefully we can get together on this forum, exchange emails and contact info, and start to get to know our future classmates. For those of us coming from out of town (myself included), hopefully this can serve as a valuable resource for figuring out the logistics of moving to a new city. Congrats to all and welcome to the world of anesthesia!

Is there any way you can tell me what your interview at webster was like? What type of questions? Any questions specifically you remember? There is zero info regarding their interview on the web, and any information would be awesome. Thanks!

Can anyone either PM me or reply on this board with questions they received in their Webster University interview? What type of interview was it? Any specifics will help tremendously. I have no idea what type of interview to expect. I have heard it is a mix, but clinical questions can span anything, and trying to "prepare" for such is sort of like asking someone to memorize the dictionary.

Agreed. The waiting game is terrible. They had several dates to choose, but I also know the last interview is on Oct. 7, which wasn't an option when I was given dates to choose from. Oct. 3 was the last date offered to me, I believe. Anyways, I'm sure I am over analyzing every detail of this process, and I also am sure I did much better than I think. Self critique is always harsh :).

Nope. Sure didn't. I don't think anyone did really. I know I didn't. My buddy I work with who also interviewed that day didn't get any special feedback. The interview process is a bit different now than in the past, and maybe that has something to do with it. Also, it seems the people that received some sort of special feedback in the past also were the last ones to interview. This year, the last day of interviews is on October 7. If the panel is sure about some people in that round of interviews, I wouldn't be surprised if they tell them so. Especially since they will be making all calls for acceptance the very next day. In my opinion, decisions have been made already, but we have to play the waiting game. It's a catch 22 because if you're like me, you just wanted to interview early and get it done. However, we have to wait longer than the people that interview on October 7. MUCH LONGER. So, do you wait longer to interview and stress, or do you interview first and then stress til the day they make calls? Decisions decisions. I think our group of interviewees were solid -- didn't really see a lacking applicant from my point of view. It seemed like a strong group. I also wonder if there is any reasoning for who they invite for the first group of interviews versus the second group? It would make sense they would want to interview the strongest candidates first? I don't know. Leave it up to me to severely over analyze a situation like this haha BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF US! :)

pb1432 -- in fairness to the interviewing group and myself, I cannot disclose exact specifics of the interview. Everything I know about the interview came from people I know who interviewed in the past, as well as forums I found on allnurses regarding the interview process. There was nothing I was told about the interview from people I personally know that I couldn't find on public forums online. So, if you put in your time, there are no secrets and you can have a good idea what to expect. I will tell you the interview itself isn't clinical based, there is a written test on clinical questions, and comparatively speaking to other programs it has a more laid back feel. The faculty are all amazing, and the director Mike is a super sharp CRNA, a true expert in his field. As always, bring your A game to the interview.

nfinlin1 -- when was your interview? Also, did anyone in the interview panel give you any indication of how you did? I'm hearing from several people in the program now that they received some sort of additional feedback from the panel. Things like, "you did really great in there" or "bring some pictures from home for next year". Random things like that where they weren't saying, "yes, you're in" but they might as well have said it. Did you get any kind of remotely similar feedback?

I was lucky enough to land an interview on 9/24 for the upcoming class starting in 2016. Anyone else interview already or are interviewing soon? Just curious as to what your experience was like and what your qualifications are. I am losing sleep waiting on the decision of acceptance! I felt like there was literally zero indication as to what they were thinking. They were very nice people, but also very difficult to read and no responses were given to my answers during the interview really. When I was asked if I had any questions, I did ask one question to try and get a feel for what they were thinking: "If I am not accepted, what can I do to become a better applicant for next year?" Their response was "we will cross that bridge when we come to it." Haha, once again, zero indication of what they might be thinking at that point. Decisions are made fairly quickly and they usually have a very good idea of who they want and who they don't after the interview is concluded. So, I'm just a victim of my own thoughts at this point, going crazy playing the waiting game. Not much longer and we will know something. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I interviewed on 9/24. Fingers crossed. Literally losing sleep over this. The program is excellent and hopefully I get in! Have you heard anything yet on a final decision?
