UTMB BACC2 Spring 2012

I wanted to start a thread for those applying for UTMB's 2012 accelerated nursing program. The application is open April 1-July 15. I was told invites for interviews start after the application is closed and interviews start end July-August. Does anyone have any additional information? Has anyone applied before? Know of any interview questions? Please share everything you know!!!!!!!

I was told invites would be sent out the last week of September. Though I know they'll be contacting us by email, I still find myself hurrying to our mailbox as if they sent a letter by snail mail.

This process is alot more unorganized than I thought coming from a big name university. I wish they would get their stuff together.

They told me nxt invites will be out by Monday.

I think it's interesting that this board is not as talkative as the traditional BSN board. I wonder if there's not as many Bacc 2 applicants.

It just stresses me out. I assume rejection until I hear other wise. It makes life much more pleasent. ;)

I'm the same way, pessimistic about myself yet optimistic about others. :)

REALLY hope invites get sent out Monday...we will see! Wish there was a UTMB update page.

I know! It's weird that this board is so much more quiet. But you know, the requirements and demands for the Bacc2 program are a little more stringent, so I would expect fewer applicants. At least, I hope for all our sake that there are fewer!

As far as this board not being as talkative, I wonder if that's also because more of us just go over to the traditional BSN board for information. It sounds like they've had one round of interviews so far, no acceptances yet, and second round of interview invitations have been getting pushed back one week after another. Whatever issue is causing UTMB to push back the traditional BSN second round is probably causing the delay for Bacc2 applicant interviews too. Whatever's going on, I hope they get it smoothed out soon!

I think we're not as talkative because there's not much to talk about since we are all sitting and waiting....

I too would love to see an update page and at the open house a few weekends ago they said they were working on that for the future.

I hope we hear something really soon!

At the open house they also stated that they had around 700 applicants and are only accepting 180.

70 tothe BACC2 program and 110 to the traditional program.
