UTMB BACC2 Spring 2012

I wanted to start a thread for those applying for UTMB's 2012 accelerated nursing program. The application is open April 1-July 15. I was told invites for interviews start after the application is closed and interviews start end July-August. Does anyone have any additional information? Has anyone applied before? Know of any interview questions? Please share everything you know!!!!!!!

Hello all, after reading in someones thread about the registrar person being let go because of not sending the applications and files where they were supposed to go, I sent an email because I too have not gotten any calls back or emails replied to. I did get a reply to my email from last night and it said they did not have my scores from ATI so I called this am an GOT TO SPEAK TO A REAL PERSON!! She told me they never received the scores! and to send her a copy and she would send it to the committee once she had them. So I logged on to ATI and copied the scores and sent them to her. She sent me a note back when she got them and sent the package on. My advice to everyone is to call and email just to verify they have your scores and have submitted the application to the committee. If I had not it would have never been sent because they will not search you out and ask. Don't loose your opportunity! My scores were supposed to be sent THREE months ago but were not! Hopes this helps every one.

I just received an email from my favorite person at UTMB and was told that our invites hopefully will begin next week. Good luck everyone.

Does anyone know what date the Bacc2 program starts in January 2012?

I still haven't heard anything. I was told that they just started reviewing applications for Bacc2 this Monday, 9/12.

I'm not sure if this applies to the Bacc2 program, but according to the calender on the website orientation is Jan 4-6.

I don't know how other nursing schools do their app process but it seems very late to me? Idk. I have a lot riding on this decision & it's kind of putting other decisions on hold. I would've liked to have known when they told me at first that I would find out mid-July to beginning of August.

I called SON last week and they told me interview invites would be sent out this week. But here we are end of the week, and nothing...grr

This week has gone by so slowly- and no interview invites! How is everyone else holding up?

I am taking microbiology right now- so I stay very busy- but all of this studying would soo be worth it if I would hear back from UTMB!
