  1. I believe so. I just heard that phone calls went out around 2:30. Not sure if that includes the waitlist. Sad, indeed. Congrats to all those who were accepted, though! Baylor's an amazing program, and clearly very competitive, so being accepted is quite an achievement!
  2. Still nothing. Every time I get an email update about this thread, my heart sinks. I keep thinking someone posted "I got in!" Maybe he just wants us to sweat a little bit, lol.
  3. Yeah, it's a long day. I know you're not interviewing for those whole 8 hours (can you imagine??), rather it's just five one-on-one, ten (?) minute or so interviews. But I'm still not gonna love feeling like I'm under a microscope the whole time we're there!
  4. Thanks, ICUforever. Good luck to you as well! You have the right idea by planning early.
  5. My GPA is 3.4, GRE was 324 with writing score of 5.0, 3 years MICU experience, CCRN certified. I took organic 1 and 2 with labs, but all they require is organic 1 (not sure if lab is necessary). My advice would be to do as well as possible on the GRE (I used the Kaplan review book, and highly recommend it) and definitely get your CCRN. In the info session, they more or less said that the CCRN is an unofficial requirement. Officially, it's not required, but Baylor applicants are generally so competitive that you're going to have a hard time being considered without it. And thanks. It feels good to have an interview, but that's not enough for this guy. I want into the program!
  6. If you click through to the invitation, it says, "Applicants will meet individually with five interviewers during this period. Interviews will be spaced throughout the day." That's about all I had already heard too.
  7. Yup. I just got one for August 22! Can't wait!! I'm just so glad to finally hear something. Anything! haha
  8. Nope! I went to an info session a few months back, and Dr. Walker said they no longer require the prerequisite courses be within a certain time frame. It just caused too much of a headache for the admissions team, and they didn't think it was especially important. They do require that the GRE be within the last four years, though.
  9. Add me to the list of those who are waiting for an interview invitation. Hopefully we hear something this week. Like... tomorrow!
  10. Anyone else waiting for an interview invitation? I have a friend in the program who said she thought they were sending out invitations either last week or this coming one. The anticipation is killing me!
  11. Dena, allnurses.com members with fewer than 15 posts can't send or receive PMs, so I can't send you the link without your email address. If you'd prefer not to post that, you should be able to search for "UTMB BACC2 Spring 2012" on facebook, and we'll come up. Join us!
  12. Sent it to both of you. If anyone else gets their acceptances, leave a message with your email address, and I'll send the facebook group link.
  13. You've probably received your info packet by now, but I just noticed your question was still unanswered. I got the packet via email. I got a letter in the mail afterward as well, but the letter didn't have quite as much information. The emailed packet included scholarship information (although the deadline was Oct. 28), background check and drug screen instructions, an ADA accommodation option, an Immunization Record to complete and mail in, and a health insurance confirmation if you will have your own. I look forward to meeting you and everyone else! Join the facebook group, if you haven't already. The name of the group is exactly the same as the title of this thread, "UTMB BACC2 Spring 2012." It will show up if you search for that.
  14. Exciting! You and Sarah21063 will have to let us know how your job interviews go. The woman that I interviewed with for the BACC2 program told me that the UTMB BACC2 students do very well finding jobs after finishing the program. That's a huge selling point, as far as I'm concerned. Good luck!
  15. I was accepted! I got the email early yesterday afternoon (interviewed a week before on Monday the 17th). I can't wait to get started now! I definitely want to enjoy these last couple of months of freedom, but I'm also kind of anxious for January so we can get going. Traci, can you send me the facebook link as well? My email address is richardwh at gmail dot com. And could you also PM it to krmolina and ttnncc? Some of us are having trouble finding the group the old fashioned way by searching on facebook (I haven't actually tried yet, but if it's both invite-only and private, it may not be searchable).
