Hi all. I am planning to apply next year. I was wondering if you all would not mind posting your gpa, gre, and icu experience at the time of your application. I have a 3.7 cumulative gpa, and 4.0 science. I have not taken the gre yet and working on ccrn at the momment. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants
Hey Dreamer, I just also received my books from majors and it looks like I did not get they my nursing lab for the fundamentals book either. I have the Complete RN Collection and Nursing Interventions & Clinical Skills access codes but no my nursing lab. Was yours stuck to one of the inside covers of the book? I'm going to call them today too.

Never give up!
I can in a way relate to what you went through. I got lucky and was accepted the first time around and did not have to wait for three whole years. I started college a while back but then ended up failing a couple of classes, which lead to a suspension from my school. I ended up taking about a year and a half off from school and then decided it was time to go back and try to get into a nursing program. Not so close family members in my family were talking behind my back, saying that I was never going to make it and that I was never going to be somebody. My mom was really the only person who believed in me, supporting me through the tough journey I was going through while taking pre-reqs. I applied late January and throughout the entire wait doubted my chances of getting in because of my hiccup I had when I first started school. Then one day I came home to find my letter in the mailbox saying that I was accepted into the program. I ran inside my house jumping up and down, yelling to my mom, "I got in, I got in, I got in!" I couldn't hold back the tears as I was running to hug her. Typing this almost makes me want to start crying again lol. I am not the emotional type person, but that moment just broke me down. Just believe in yourself, and don't give up. To all the future nursing hopefuls getting ready to apply. I wish you the best of luck and remember NEVER GIVE UP! Reach for the stars!!!

This is outrageous!!! I have no problem driving to the nursing department and picking up the letter myself. I would be happy with them sending an acceptance email at this point. I just hope they get their stuff straightened out in time to get letters sent out this week.

Hey Pina, I too called yesterday and some rude person answered the phone. She raised her voice a little when I asked if she knew when applications were going to go out. She said that they haven't even made the selections yet and that applications will go out sometime in May. I'm not going to call anymore! Like Loly said, I'll just believe it when I see the envelope in my mailbox! I accepted a position for Cook Children's Hospital last week! My dream is to someday work for the hospital's NICU department. I am so excited to start!!! Is anyone else currently working for a hospital?
