  3. Hello all! Congrats on your interviews. I am hoping to apply next year and be in your shoes. Would you all who received interviews please share your stats? Like GPA, GRE scores, type and years of ICU experience, and highest level chem class. Would be greatly appreciated. Good luck!!!
  4. Thank you all for replying, greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi all. I am planning to apply next year. I was wondering if you all would not mind posting your gpa, gre, and icu experience at the time of your application. I have a 3.7 cumulative gpa, and 4.0 science. I have not taken the gre yet and working on ccrn at the momment. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
  6. Book are ordered, CID's printed, and class registration is complete. I am so excited for orientation! We all will conquer nursing school!!!
  7. Hey Dreamer, I just also received my books from majors and it looks like I did not get they my nursing lab for the fundamentals book either. I have the Complete RN Collection and Nursing Interventions & Clinical Skills access codes but no my nursing lab. Was yours stuck to one of the inside covers of the book? I'm going to call them today too.
  8. dang, i ordered my stethoscope from medisave about two weeks ago. i wish i would have waited now for that extra 5% discount lol. i think i still got a pretty good deal on mine. i got mine laser engraved for free and shipping was also free. i would definitely recommend you guys to order from medisave.
  9. I can in a way relate to what you went through. I got lucky and was accepted the first time around and did not have to wait for three whole years. I started college a while back but then ended up failing a couple of classes, which lead to a suspension from my school. I ended up taking about a year and a half off from school and then decided it was time to go back and try to get into a nursing program. Not so close family members in my family were talking behind my back, saying that I was never going to make it and that I was never going to be somebody. My mom was really the only person who believed in me, supporting me through the tough journey I was going through while taking pre-reqs. I applied late January and throughout the entire wait doubted my chances of getting in because of my hiccup I had when I first started school. Then one day I came home to find my letter in the mailbox saying that I was accepted into the program. I ran inside my house jumping up and down, yelling to my mom, "I got in, I got in, I got in!" I couldn't hold back the tears as I was running to hug her. Typing this almost makes me want to start crying again lol. I am not the emotional type person, but that moment just broke me down. Just believe in yourself, and don't give up. To all the future nursing hopefuls getting ready to apply. I wish you the best of luck and remember NEVER GIVE UP! Reach for the stars!!!
  10. I just ordered the Littmann Cardiology III stethoscope. I have gotten really good feedback from the staff at work who use it.
  11. I'm in!!! Wahooooooo!!! I'm so happy for all of us. I can't wait to meet you all. We are going to be a heck of a group. :)
  12. This is outrageous!!! I have no problem driving to the nursing department and picking up the letter myself. I would be happy with them sending an acceptance email at this point. I just hope they get their stuff straightened out in time to get letters sent out this week.
  13. Overall GPA 3.8 Science GPA 4.0 TEAS overall 70 Hopefully we get letters before Friday!!!
  14. I really hope letters get sent today or tomorrow, waiting another week just sounds crazy to me! I hope you have some good news for us today Loly. haha
  15. Hey Pina, I too called yesterday and some rude person answered the phone. She raised her voice a little when I asked if she knew when applications were going to go out. She said that they haven't even made the selections yet and that applications will go out sometime in May. I'm not going to call anymore! Like Loly said, I'll just believe it when I see the envelope in my mailbox! I accepted a position for Cook Children's Hospital last week! My dream is to someday work for the hospital's NICU department. I am so excited to start!!! Is anyone else currently working for a hospital?
  16. Hello everyone! Did any of you also notice that the link to the program's FAQ's was taken down? I know that last year they made some changes around this time to some of the pre req classes we needed to have completed in order to apply. I was told by a counselor not to long ago that they might add college algebra as a pre req. I really hope she was just giving me false information as I have not taken that class. I think I will register for it in the summer just in case and then drop it if I get in this time around. Happy waiting for everyone, we are getting so close!
  17. I too think they are just making up the date about the letters going out in May. This wait really stinks, but we are getting so close. I find myself doubting my chances of getting in as the days pass. I applied without having the fine arts elective completed and think that is going to keep me from joining you guys in the fall. I have prepared myself for the worst, but hoping for the best.
  18. I went and asked in person today. I was told that about 350ish applications were submitted. I totally forgot to ask when they they thought the letters were going to be sent. Next time!!!
  19. Thank you for all the information! I took the TEAS test yesterday and did horribly on it! I scored a 70% overall, embarrassing I know. I have 3.7 overall gpa and a 4.0 in my sciences. I really don't know what happened yesterday. I went into the test thinking I was going to do super since I have been studying the study guide for over a month. Oh well, the only thing I can do now is just hope and pray that my TEAS score doesn't hold me from getting in. The pressure is really kicking in and I cant wait till May rolls around, its gonna be a long 2 1/2 months! Good luck to everyone!
  20. Hello everyone! I am very excited about the application process, although I am finding it a little stressful. I am scheduled to take the TEAS test on Feb, 9.
  21. hey everyone! i am also applying for the fall 2011, although i will not have the fine arts/humanities course completed. i have a pretty good overall gpa 3.8/4.0 sciences, but im still kinda feeling like i wont get in because im missing that one class, do you guys think ill have a chance?
