UTHSCSA - UT Health Science Center San Antonio - Spring 09

Published

Sorry I didn't want this post to get mixed up with the other thread haha it's so long.

Anyways wondering if anyone else applied for the Spring 09. Im also wondering if its worth buying the study guide for the TEAS that they are selling and what kind of questions they ask you in the interview.

I'm so nervous because mine is coming up!

-Thanks Duc

Hmm, I'm a little late on buying the books. Lancer question how much have you spent on buying the books so far online?

Been so busy visiting friends and packing to move.. sigh it's almost time!

Books cost me around $700 so far. I haven't purchased the Nurs 3802 course packet or the Nursing Skills CD yet.

All my X-mas dough :bluecry1:

FYI--In order to get your parking permit they want you to bring in your vehicle registration. I didn't bring mine and had to drive all the way back home to get it. Then when I was standing in line person after person came in and said they didn't have theirs. One person working there said they would go ahead and let you get it without it but the person I talked to the first trip said you had to have it. Just wanted to mention it in case it might save someone a trip.

Does anyone know the bookstore hours? I went there yesterday and they were closed. Called today and get no answer. Their website said they are open on Fridays and Saturdays but I guess they are following a different schedule since it's between semesters. I think the bookstore is supposed to be open tomorrow during the heart to heart but I can't seem to find the sheet of paper that had the hours listed on it. I'm thinking maybe it was on the sheet of paper that we had to mail back to the school.

I just looked through my papers, and the letter for Heart to Heart says that the bookstore will be open Jan 4th from 1pm to 5pm. It's on the pink sheet of paper in the last packet that they mailed. We detached the back sheet to mail back for Heart to Heart registration.

Anybody know where the Nancy Smith Hurd Auditorium is located and what we should wear to Orientation this Wednesday? Thanks!

As far as I can tell it's somewhere in the Nursing School building. I can't find anywhere that shows what floor etc. I was also wondering what we were supposed to wear. I'd really like to wear jeans but I don't want to if everyone else is going to show up in slacks.

The auditorium is on the first floor of the same building that our interviews were in. I was there today and they had signs up showing how to get there.

I asked in the Undergrad Nursing office and there is no dress code for orientation, jeans are just fine.

How do you know which clinical day you are on and which skills lab to attend? Is it posted somewhere or our we still waiting for that info?

My god that day was painfully boring! Anyways about clinicals the peer advisors said we would just have to wait and know...

Except today my Clinical instructor called me and asked me to fill out a form for him tomorrow during a break in orientation. I wonder what it is for...

Our clinical and skills lab schedules are now posted on ereserves.

thanks for the info guys. so i don't check this site for a while and it looks like i missed a lot. get ready for a full day tomorrow. i think we should have done more stuff today to get it over with. that's just me.
