UTHSCSA Spring 2012

I know it's a little early, as applications are due until July 7, 2011, but I'm excited already and want to hear from others applying for the Spring 2012 semester. Anyone submit their application yet or in the process of submitting?

Got my invite yesterday too and today I went ahead and registered to take it for August 4th! Exciting yet nerve-wrecking all at the same time!

BTW, I live here in SA. I'm jumping the gun, but I would be interested in being a part of a study group once school starts, in case anyone else has the same thoughts. I just think hearing someone else's perspective/explanation helps me, as well as when i explain something to others I really have to think through the concepts and thereby learn it better. Again, I'm being optimistic about the future. Yay, I'm happy!:D!!
If I manage to get in, that'd be wonderful! Always good to plan ahead and to be optimistic! *fingers crossed all the way*

Congrats on the invite youresocurious:up:! Good deal on the study group -- we definitely have to be optimistic AND studying hard in the meantime ;). I am taking my test on Aug 10th at the UTSA Downtown site. I wanted to stretch my study time out as much as possible, but not leave it until the very last minute. Mrs. Mejia (SoN admissions) said they are able to see our TEAS scores right away and they'll contact us if they don't get them. I think as long as you either take them at one of the UTSA sites or make sure you have them sent to the UTHSCSA SoN by the 8/15 noon deadline, you should be fine.

Kudos in order: I don't know about anyone else, but my experience with the admissions office has all been great. Considering the number of calls they must be getting from students like me, they do a great job giving out info and help. Note to self: You draw more bees with honey than you do with vinegar:)......AND.....A thankful heart is a happy heart:redbeathe!

I also am hoping to get admitted or Spring 2012! Im taking my TEAs test on the last day Aug 15th. I pretty nervous...I wish I had a study partner to help keep focus. How is everyone doing with the studying???

Hi Everyone I am taking my TEAS next Tuesday I am so nervous, has anyone taken the HESI? and did you guys do better on the HESI or TEAS? Also does anyone know when we will actually get acceptance letters? I know im jumping ahead but I just cant wait!

I am also nervous about my teas test.... I'm scheduled to take it August 5th so I only have a little over a week! I took the practice tests in the back of the book and made an 80 and an 84. I was hoping to do better but I guess I will be studying some more! How are you doing with your studying??

When I talked to the school last, they said it would be in September when we find out if we are accepted or not. Hope we all get the acceptance!!!!!!

Well I am going section by section and so far I have finished the Reading, Science and part of the Math. I have until the 15th so I should get thhrough everything pretty throughouly. I get test anxiety and mentaly blackout when I take important tests so Im just trying to remain calm and keep positive thoughts. 84 on a practice test is great thats a good enough score to get you accepted. I havent done a practice test but I will soon and let you know how I did! Also, let us know how you do on the Teas when you take it Aug 5th!

Hey y'all just some advice from someone who's taken the TEAS....

My test had about 4 questions on anatomy...not very many so if you're fresh out of your anatomy classes you shouldn't really worry about it. Focus on chemistry and basic biology! Also, the last English section on basic grammar and such can get kind of tricky so make sure you study that stuff. I only used the official ATI study guide and did pretty well. I suggest everyone get that book! The test really isn't bad at all if you Just do a little studying and try your best! Also, I'm not sure about this but I think it took a few days for my scores to get there just so y'all know if you're taking the test close to the deadline...

Anyways, hope this helps anyone out there. I wish I had some sort of background info when I took the test. Good luck everyone! :)

i called up and asked, they said u can as many times u want but only the first score will be taken into consideration. which doesnt quiet make any sense.... :/
