UTHSCSA spring 2010 hopefuls!

Okay so im applying to uthscsa for the spring and was wondering if anyone knows what gpa they look at and any other helpful ideas to get an interview etc. my prereq gpa is 3.74 but my overall gpa is a 3.44...is that going to hurt my chances? i went in for a transcript review and debbie calculated the wrong gpa for me and i didnt notice until i got home. i hope they dont mess up with my application. eeeek im so nervous i wanna do everything possible to get in!! the only other place im applying to is sac but i much rather get my bachelor degree then an associates....

To update you guys, I emailed Mrs. ***** about the Spring timeline. Here's what I got "We are expected to complete reviewing applicants’ credentials by mid October. We will distribute decision letters in late October. The semester will start on January 18 with orientation tentatively scheduled for January 8– 15, 2010. We normally hold one orientation day with students and their families and the another day just for students. More details will be provided once decisions have been made."

So we're looking at late October now. Sorry to give your hopes up. Is it true that registration starts on Nov 1?!

Registration actually goes on for awhile!! I think you have until before the first week of class to register haha...

Don't worry too much about registration once you get in. They pretty much open enough spots for all of you to get into classes so they won't get full... Also your notification on getting in seems about right... if I remember correctly thats when I got notified also last year..

Well thanks for the updates. at least we know that the decisions can be started now. On the bright side, finding out mid October is a heck of a lot closer then when i applied in mid May .

It did! I'm also an applicant and and HOPING to be accepted as well. :) My prereq GPA is 3.85 and my TEAS score was 85 .... we will see?!

Was hoping for mid October, but time seems to be flying so quickly that the end of October will be here before we know it! :) I had butterflies in my stomach just driving onto the UTHSC grounds b/c of its reputation of being such a good school.
