Okay so im applying to uthscsa for the spring and was wondering if anyone knows what gpa they look at and any other helpful ideas to get an interview etc. my prereq gpa is 3.74 but my overall gpa is a 3.44...is that going to hurt my chances? i went in for a transcript review and debbie calculated the wrong gpa for me and i didnt notice until i got home. i hope they dont mess up with my application. eeeek im so nervous i wanna do everything possible to get in!!
the only other place im applying to is sac but i much rather get my bachelor degree then an associates....
New update. My Micro TA was replaced today for unprofessional conduct with us. The official reason given was he was leaving to take care of personal matters.
Our new TA is great. I actually felt I learned something today.
You're right cali, I should enjoy this light workload before mountains of work get thrust upon us. At the same time I can't wait to get started with the mountains of work
I applied to HSC, UT Houston, and Midwestern.
I never really finished the midwestern app, they wanted 70$ or something to submit the application and that just seemed like too much.
I declined to go on with the interview process at UT Houston, because of many problems with the administration and they wouldn't reschedule me to a day I could actually go.
So...this is my my only school
Applied to SAC as well. Have heard that SAC makes alot of errors in there calculating of points and some of which i am already trying to resolve before they happen. Hoping if UTHSCSA doesn't work out that SAC does a great job this semester of calculating. Married and have a house and really hoping that a SA oppurtunity would work out. It has been almost three weeks, so something should be happening in the coming weeks:)
Calinative what do u mean by trying to resolve some errors already? I heard that they have miscalculated points be for also but i havent worried about it yet because my main concern is trying to get into the HSC :/. Has anyone heard anything yet? I recently moved back out of my moms house with a work friend so now my mom still gets all my mail and Im not sure how often she checks the mail eeeeeek. Getting anxious.

People go to nursing school with different reasons and we all have our own stories. I choose nursing because I want to volunteer in Africa, India, or China some point in my life, but I am not a "super hero", money is also a concern.
Anyway, I really hope to see you guys in school if I am accepted. Cross fingers
