UTHSCSA Accelerated BSN Summer 2015

Hi everyone!

I looked and looked on here but I didn't see a thread for people applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Accelerated BSN Summer 2015 program, so I thought I'd start a thread. I just submitted my application (kind of late I know). How's it going for everyone?

It takes about two weeks if you get the second TST done 7 days later. (For the 2 step TST baseline test, you have the first TST done and then, assuming it's negative, you have another TST done 7-21 days later.)

Which Heb did u get your TWINRIX vaccine? I've been asking around and can't find places that do the combo. Most doctors offices don't have the combo

I got my TWINRIX done at the HEB Plus at 1604 and Bandera. They didn't have to have anything from my PCP.

YAY! I finally found where you were all hiding! I am excited to meet everyone in May. I am moving to San Antonio, so if any ladies out there want a roomie... letta sista know :)

Even though I had the Hep B vaccine when I was little, my titer came back as showing I'm not immune, so I'll have to get the TWINRIX vaccine. :( My insurance says they "think" they cover it. HEB said it's $189 plus a $19 vaccination fee per shot for 4-5 shots if insurance doesn't cover it. The HEB on NW Military Hwy at Alon offers it.

Ah! :( I got tomorrow for my shots/titter and now I'm nervous. I also received my Hep B vaccine as a child (twice actually) fingers crossed your insurance covers it!!

I have a question about the fingerprint and background check. Once we complete it, are we required to mail the receipt that it was completed to BON. I'M asking because the lady that did my fingerprint told me I should.

Does anyone know what category the online courses "NUR" are under? I have completed all the others, but cant find where items 3-8 are from our list. Any help would be great! Thanks
