UTHSCSA Accelerated BSN Summer 2015

Published

Hi everyone!

I looked and looked on here but I didn't see a thread for people applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA) Accelerated BSN Summer 2015 program, so I thought I'd start a thread. I just submitted my application (kind of late I know). How's it going for everyone?

You can now view required books on the Bookstore's website. For a lot of the books, their "Buy Used" price is the price you can get it for on Amazon new.

The only other thing I know of is a watch. (Regular watch, not a digital one.)

Thanks! Orientation schedule just came out!

What lot are you guys buying the permit for? It looks like Lots 3 and 5 are the closest to the nursing building.

You buy by zone, so I purchased Zone 3, which includes lots 3, 9, and 10. Lot 5 is part of Zone 2.

I asked a month ago for my little sister's wedding and was told no because you can't make-up labs. I guess it never hurts to asks though :).

I am cheap and need the exercise lol I got lot 4 :)

Got my ID, parking, scrub tops, financial aid sorted, and computer paid. Successful day at the ever so confusing UTHSCSA (the corridors are confusing and very strange in the medical building)

Heyy... So ladies...or smaller men. I just bought the UTHSCSA scrub tops and I got a small. I am thin, but not crazy small and this small size top was like a huge bag on me. I called to see if they had/we're getting x-small and they said they are on back order.

#sadface

Also, tall ladies!! I found some long scrubs that are longer than what society calls a "tall". These are 34" with a lower sitting inseam, making them about 35" inseam! Yay. Infinity by Cherokee. Super nice material similar to Grays Anatomy.

What colors or patterns is everyone getting for lab scrubs? Just curious and now excited :)

who did you contact about missing class? I am graduating from A&M on May 15th and am really hoping to be able to walk in my graduation ceremony but don't know who to ask about that

I've totaled my book cost up to $393.55. That includes 10 books, but not the software/text. I omitted the study guide (recommended) costing $35.

Has anyone else purchased books and how much did you spend/ where from/what kind?

Blackboard is up!!

How did you log in. It will not let me. Did you use the same log in info you use to log into the student center?
