I have seen many threads for previous applicants for past semesters to the UT Houston School of Nursing. I wanted to start one myself as I am applying for the spring 2014 traditional BSN and have yet to find a thread for it. Although I opened it for applicants, I would also encourage previous applicants, current/previous students, and applicants for other semesters at UTHSC to join in and share in this exciting time!
Hey everyone!
For those who already has their myUTH account and still wondering how to change their long random password that UTH gives you, this is how you do it:
1) On the myUTH portal main page before you log in, look on the left side under the "quick links" tab and click change password.
2) Then click the link they provide you that will take you to a different page. You'll have to log into that new page and then just follow the instructions from there.
--> https://apps.uth.tmc.edu/useradmin/faces/pwd/login.jsp
Lol even though it is quite obvious, I didn't notice how to do it at first because I got too excited the first time I got my myUTH access and I logged in right away thinking I'd be able to change my password from there.
Cheers!
When I went to the info session, they said we could apply with as little as 40 credit hours as long as A&P and micro was completed. So, my question is, I have all sciences done except for Chemistry...how do they figure the GPA for science if you have applied without all of them done? I'm applying for Spring 2014 and have Chemistry, Psyc STats, and History 2 remaining, which I am taking in the fall. I took the HESI yesterday (6/27/13) and felt I did good. I did great on the Critical Thinking portion and I am hoping that gives me a little bit of kudos!

If you completely bomb & your GPA drops below the required GPA for admission, you will not be allowed in for that semester. Chem shouldn't be an issue with getting at least a B & I felt like Hist 2 was way better than Hist 1, as for Psych Stats, I'm currently taking an online course over the summer. It's not bad so far & I don't see any issue with making an A. I think you'll be just fine :)

Thanks so much for the info! It can all be very confusing to say the least! I'm just ready to find out if I made it or not. I feel like my life is at a stand-still!

Wow! Thank you. That was very flattering. I just hope it really is enough to get me in!
I am sure you will do fine on your HESI. Just take your time and read the questions thoroughly, especially in the CT section and make sure you're ready for any question from A&P I & II. I did post some sample questions from those two sections, but a moderator cut them out of my post and I got yelled at. Unfortunately, I don't want to get kicked off, so I won't be doing that again!
Don't stress yourself out over it and you'll do fine. Good luck to you and I hope you make it in to wherever you choose!!
