  1. Congrats!!!! Here ya go! :) Monday: Health Assessment 8-? (You'll be assigned one of 3 lab times that will last for 3 hours, ranging from 9:30a - 1:30p) Tuesday: Adult Health Care 1 8a-4p (until you start clinicals towards the end of February, then you'll only have lecture from 8a-12p) Wednesday: Pharmacology from 8a-11a & Pathophysiology from 1p-4p Then you'll either have clinical starting towards the end of February on Thursdays or Fridays from 6:30a-4:30p And don't hesitate to join the Spring FB group. There's lots of helpful info :)
  2. I'm so glad too! You definitely won't need any more stress during that time!
  3. And start a folder with your immunization/titer records and CPR certification info! You'll need them for every clinical. Just basically use this time to try to get everything as organized and planned out as possible, because after the first day, you won't have time to do any of that.
  4. I just completed the first week, so I don't have much experience, but I do know that it is mentally draining and requires TONS of reading. We were just assigned a 200 page reading for Pharm to be completed before next Wednesday. The upperclassmen are seriously lifesavers, everyone is so helpful and really interested in seeing you succeed. As for the professors, they are great people, but are not there to hold your hand, like you may have been used to with prereqs. They are not there to make sure you come to class everyday or hounding you to turn in assignments, so it's really up to you and your determination to take charge of this experience and excel. Make friends with as many people as you can, and lean on each other to make sure that everything is getting completed on time and concepts are really being understood. Good luck to you!
  5. Yes, you'll have a "To-Do List" on myUTH once your status changes and one of those items is to get your BLS for Healthcare Providers and email it in to the school before you can enroll. The only thing that can wait until clinicals is your flu shot and Hep C, Rubella, and Varicella titers. Be prepared to have to get lots of titers!
  6. It's 15 months and you guys would graduate August 2015.
  7. I hate to say it, but the registrars office is just as cold and incompetent when you finally do get accepted. We have heard nothing but complaints on our FB page from the beginning. They lose transcripts, take weeks to upload transcripts, never answer phone calls or emails, and if you show up in person, you're told to call or email them. I didn't get to register for classes until 3 days before classes started. It was such a mess. Just a tip to anyone that does get in in the future, the student affairs ladies are SOOOO helpful when it comes to everything (including kicking the registrar into gear). Good luck to you all! I promise it's worth all this trouble! :)
  8. Yep I added it up and the first huge batch of acceptances went out exactly 90 days before the start of classes (January 13). You guys will be starting May 19, so your acceptances should go out on February 18.
  9. I'm not sure about housing. I live in Katy & will be commuting. As for repeated courses, I'm sure if it came between someone with the same stats, but no repeated courses, they'd probably choose that person, but who knows; they seem to be pretty erratic when it comes to acceptances. And I don't think pending prereqs will hurt you any. Most of us that were accepted for the Spring are still completing prereqs.
  10. That's definitely a competitive GPA, just try to score around a 90 or above total on your HESI and you should have a very good chance. Good luck to you! :)
