Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!

Congrats to everyone who got in and the rest of us, we've got this! I've even started packing up my apt to be prepared for an easy move to Houston, from Dallas, :laugh:. Do y'all think that they'll send out more acceptances tomorrow, or the start of next week? Having faith in Him is getting me through. May I add, my nerves are:cry::eek:, I'm trying to keep calm and faith.

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. A friend told me about it today and I just got done reading the entire thread from the beginning to now. I feel like many of us have shared the same emotions over the past few months. I too applied for Sunmer 2017 and this morning around 10:30am Friday 2/24/17 receieved an email....Congrats you've been accepted to UT Health BSN Pacesetter program! I got in!!!! I'm on cloud 9!!! My friend says they usually send out notifications in three waves and not necessarily in alphabetical order. I believe this was the first wave and I am a Z. Hope this helps a little for those still waiting to hear back. Stay Positive, have Faith! Here are my stats:

Science GPA: 4.0

Nursing GPA: 3.8

Overall GPA: 3.7

HESI: 90

Reading 94

Grammar 88

Vocab & GK 92

A&P 88

Math 85

Also Congrats to all those who got in! Can not wait to meet you and continue this journey!

I can relate a lot! I have kids and my husband works full time. We can and will do this! My friend at UT says there are many students with families and that is very encouraging! Best of luck!

Why am I checking my status at 1am. Lol! I guess we will have to be patient till Monday and hopefully we get a good update. My sister is attending UTH and she got her acceptance email on a Monday during February for summer 2016. Good luck to everyone one waiting desperately including myself, lol.

Atleast I know there are more of us without news. I kind of just gave up already. I have two friends that applied with me and did not get in as well. I guess it's just not my time.
