Hey guys. Got my denial email today. I was waitlisted last application period and denied the next. I don't know how they choose their students , but congrats to everyone !

College of the Mainland ADN Fall 2017
I chose Alvin because of their nclex pass rates. I think last semester was 98% but Its stayed in the high 90s and even 100% one year. Theyre very thorough and make sure their students really know their stuff. COM is a great school though also ! I just heard Alvin was one of the top ADN programs in the area and I just did my research. You'll do great in school though ! Be proud you got accepted !!:)

Fall 2017:UT Health Science Center Houston
Didn't receive anything today :/ let's hope more acceptances come out tomorrow ! I have been accepted to my backup school COM , but it is just the ADN program. Which sucks because I have my pre reqs all done for BSN school. I worked out the math though and say I am denied for fall and denied for Spring (since being denied 3x or more is common with UT unfortunately) and say I get in Summer 2018. To complete I'll be done around late 2019/ early 2020 with my BSN. If I choose to go to COM since I'm in , I'll finish August 2019 plus two more semesters to complete an online RN to BSN. Making it around the same time frame in the end. Sorry for my rambling, maybe it'll help others thinking about this as well.

Alvin Community College ADN-Fall 2017
Blah I'm really weighing my options. Ive been accepted at COM and it's 10k and a 40 minute drive for me. If i got into Alvin it is a 40 minute drive as well, but 7,900$. Alvin's nclex pass rates have been in the high 90% with 100% a few years ago ! They really are great. COM was 88% last year.......

Nothing so far on my end guys. I just got off a 4 hour plane ride and I am still checking my email HAHA this is killing me inside.........I will continue to check it like a crazy person. This is my 2nd try. I was waitlisted for summer then denied officially 20 days before the summer program started if anyone was curious. Fall is definitely more competitive.
