Hi everyone, I just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON students who are applying for Summer 2017. I didn't see a thread created for this term yet. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin this long journey. Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!
The Registrar just confirmed that all 4 of my transcripts have been received. Now my concern is with my HESI scores. According to Elsevier my HESI transcript was send via UPS yesterday the 10th, so I'm hoping they get there. I'd rather not test the idea that as long as they're on their way it's all good.
I requested for my hesi scores to be sent but elseiver still has not sent them. Does anyone know how long it takes? I know the email said 7-10business days but just wondering how long it took for other people's score to be sent.
I requested mine be sent last Wednesday, the 4th, and literally just now got the email confirmation that they were sent. That is a week to process, plus shipping time, if you chose regular mail. Mine are being sent via email. I will call registrars office tomorrow to confirm and give everyone an update.
So called the Registrar today to see if they had received one of my transcripts, which I had sent a while ago but it was still showing up on my "To Do" list. If you are still enrolled in the school and have any upcoming classes, the transcript will still show up on the list even though they have received it.
They also told me that after the deadline this Sunday, the committee will meet and look ONLY at applicants' HESI scores. From there they will decide if they even want to look at your GPA.

Whoa. Pump the brakes. Can you clarify this? Basically they are going to get together and look at how everyones HESI scores rank, pick out theyre acceptable candidates and THEN start looking at GPAs to see if you still qualify?
You only have to request to send scores if you didn't test with their code right? I'm seriously hoping my get sent out quickly. I had to just take the HESI today due to unavoidable tech issues (I got a 93.6 yay!). I'm desperately hoping they make it in time!
Correct. If you tested with their code it will automatically be sent to them.

Yeah, that's what the Registrar's Office told me. She said first they send the committee all the HESI scores and then they send them back a list of people whose GPAs they want to see, and then they decide who gets in from that group of people. Pretty crazy.

I am almost positive that as long as you have your application submitted, and your scores and transcripts in PROGRESS on their way to the college, you should be good. I could be wrong, but from everything that I have seen, that seems to be the case. If not, I'm screwed..lol.
I also applied today for the Fall 2017 semester.
Now we wait...
