I emailed Debbie (she's the head hancho of the program. They are very good at replying like a minute later to your emails :typing and also very good at answering all phone calls) I asked about how I should go about registering for the TEAS entrance exam...she said on the same day you do your interview you also take the TEAS exam!

Hi prettyNpurple,

Hope your interview went well! Mine is on Tuesday and I'm starting to get nervy now... Can you tell me how the interview was set up? Was there a long wait between the interview and testing?

Anything would help!

Hi, this is my first post here and I've applied for the Fall 09 semester too. My interview/test is coming up soon and I was wondering exactly what is meant by a "group" interview. Those of you who have had their interviews, could you please let explain how that works?? I'm getting pretty nervous about the interview/test and I can't wait until it's over.

Hi everyone! I finally got the low down on the interview (a girl in my class had her's on friday)!

She had 2 interviewers in a room with her and six other students. They ask questions and you just blurt out an answer, no need to raise your hand and wait to be called on. She told me to try and answer right away, otherwise you end up saying, "I agree with what they said."

She said the test wasn't that bad. She told me to focus on math fractions and conversions. She said the science part wasn't that bad. They recommend you make at least an 80 on the test.

I hope this helps everyone! Good luck!!!

Hey guys!

Yup! Miranda819 ya got it!

you walk in sign your name they give you a name tag and you hand them your 25 money order to take the exam, you sit and wait for like 10 minutes...then...you have four ladies two of them call names for their group interview and the other two call names for their's I had the Dean Mrs Yarborough

I was told by the dean that there are 260 applicants and only about 120 to 150 will be accepted...and WE GET OUR NOT ACCEPTED/ACCEPTED LeTTERS 2nD week of APRIL aAHHhhh!!!!

ok! GOOOOOOD LUCK!!!!! AND you've got it in the bag!

Thank you so much Miranda819 and prettyNpurple!! Now all I have to worry about is the test!! I'm not too good at taking tests because I get real nervous and end up forgetting things and with this test being as important as it is, that makes it so much more important. What's worse is that it's been 5 years since I took any math courses and also A&P I (I'm taking A&P II this summer), so I'm really trying to go over those two sections. The maths isn't that bad, but I need to brush up on my fractions and conversions since it seems that those are important on the math section. I'll have to make sure to stay calm.

Also, I didn't think we would hear back about getting accepted/not accepted so soon!! I was expecting it in May. At least we won't have to stress about that for too long!!

prettyNpurple,

I'm so glad to hear the interview and test went well for you! I'm so nervous about mine, Thursday can't get here soon enough! I'm even dreaming about it!!

How was the test for you? The girl in my class said the science wasn't bad at all, but to study conversions and fractions in the math section. What would you suggest I focus on?

I can't wait to have this test and interview done! I bet you felt so much better when it was over! I know I will!!!:yeah:

Thank you so much Miranda819 and prettyNpurple!!!

That information is helping me a ton!

I'm not an out-spoken person, so now I know I need to kick myself in the fanny and try to be one for tomorrow! haha

Wow, so we all have around a 50% chance of making it in... :monkeydance: :)

Wow, has anyone noticed that the study guide (the book) is so much harder than the practice tests online? I felt pretty good after doing the online tests a few times, then I started reviewing the study guide and feel like I don't know anything!!! :bluecry1:

I'm sure it's just nerves and stess. I've heard from several people that the test is not that bad. I'm just going to hope that it won't be!

Tula-6288 I hope it went well for you today!!!

Miranda819,

I know what you mean!! I've noticed the study guide (book) is quite a bit harder than the online practice test, too. I've also heard that the actual test is easier than the study guide and I hope it's true!!

Thank you Miranda819!

I just got home a little while ago and I feel soo much better now! During my interview the faculty members interviewing us put us in order and let each one have their own say to the questions... Most of the answers seem to run together. I'd try to put an orignal spin on it. Our group went over the time limit and they started cutting us short on answers...

I didn't use the ATI study guide but I did practice... The test wasn't that bad at all, just seemed long... Then again I've been awake since 5am. It is very nice to have the results as soon as you finish it too.

I feel like it went really well overall.

Goodluck to you!!! It'll go great.

thanks for all the great feedback everyone!

2nd week in APRIL notices get sent out!?!? YIKES thats in a few weeks! :bluecry1:
