I emailed Debbie (she's the head hancho of the program. They are very good at replying like a minute later to your emails :typing and also very good at answering all phone calls) I asked about how I should go about registering for the TEAS entrance exam...she said on the same day you do your interview you also take the TEAS exam!
WHAT??? is what I thought to myself sooo...I basically have till the month of April to study for that sucker!
Hi guys,
I just had the interview today march 25th at 12pm. It is a group interview held in the conference room. The dean and a faculty member with about 15 students. You start by introducing yourself to the group, followed by questionfrom the dean. Questions such as: Why a career in nursing? Why did you choose our university? How do you manage your time? Scenarios, wht would you do a patient receives bad news about a medical dilemma and you see them crying? Do you have a background in healthcare? The TEAS was very long, but you you went over the study guide you should be fine. 200 students are interviewed and 120 are accepted. INTERVIEW letters go out after 2.5 weeks after interview. Good luck guys
Questions for Interview: Just recalled this, Why do you think you would be a good fit for our program? Make it personal, they are taking notes and grading the students as you interview? What steps are you taking to ready yourself for the program. If you do have a bachelor degree, by all mean let the staff know.
I've done the online practice test twice. I have the study guide (the book) and have been studying it for at least a week now.
I've been planning what to say in the interview.
I don't have a bachelor's degree nor do I have any previous medical experience.
I just don't know what else I could do to prepare. Dare I say, I think I might be ready!!!
I just wanted to give everyone on this post a big old THANK YOU!!! :DI had my interview and test yesterday and because of everyones suggestions and support, I think I did pretty good!!!
I heard someone say they are supposed send out the acceptance/denial letters on April 9th. I'm not sure if that's right, but I thought I'd pass it along.
The waiting game begins...again!
