Anyone????? besides me waiting on that interview letter for nursing school to come already?????????????? :plsebeg: Have you completed all your pre-reqs? what cha got left? care to share your GPA?
I am in the works of completeing my last pre-req...Physiology sooo far its been my fav. class its better than anatomy. GPA 3.5 microbio and physio not inlcuded. (I wish I didn't suck at comp. 1 I got a C in that class you guys!)
I emailed Debbie (she's the head hancho of the program. They are very good at replying like a minute later to your emails :typing and also very good at answering all phone calls) I asked about how I should go about registering for the TEAS entrance exam...she said on the same day you do your interview you also take the TEAS exam!
WHAT??? is what I thought to myself sooo...I basically have till the month of April to study for that sucker!
Eww...I forgot something..So my desktop computer contracted the Trojan Virus which then somehow transferred to my laptop computer (I'm thinking through the flashdrive..but I don't know if that's possible)..but since my warranty on my laptop doesn't cover viruses (And I've only had this laptop for a year)..I have to get a new laptop..any recommendations on what brand, etc. is best for nursing school...or just from experience..
Anything with Microsoft Office on it will be fine haha..
School has stuff for both Mac/PC and the programs like office are really cheap when buying it at the school..
I use a macbook, most people use regular laptops, i've even seen some netbooks but the basic point is that you use them for microsoft office and powerpoint for lectures and web browsing when your bored..
I love my macbook to death but it was pricey as hell haha
Anyways just wait until you get into school and see how much weight you gain haha hopefully they finish this gym on campus soon before i die from junk food!
Why is it that when you really want the mail to come, it's always at least 3 hours late!!!! I'm crossing my fingers that the letter is on it's way already!
That's exaclty what I've been thinking....but nothing in the mail today from UTHSC.....I guess we have friday and saturday....if not, i guess till next week even though I was told from the admissions office that they'd be mailed out this week.
I took pharmocology here at my community college...I was going to do ADN...but I'd just rather go for BSN
my mail man comes in the AM like 9ish which isn't bad...
if pixie got it around the 28th...then...

Ok...so im buying a bike tomorrow hoping that will help relieve stress and shed the excess pounds I have gained...wahh!!
oh at work we have nursing students and maaan!
...poor guys they get put with the toughest patients...by that I mean the patients are max assist THE total care, oh and really overweight...some get lucky though!!
...us tech's shouldn't be doing their vitals for them, but its hard to not help them out...they have to take care of 3 pt.

Got some good news for you guys! I called today..and guess what they told me..THAT LETTERS WERE GOING OUT THIS AFTERNOON!!! So now is the time you can stalk your mail man..as for me..I got to go figure out where my dog is getting grass-burs (don't know if I spelled that correctly) from :/
if any future nursing students entering the Fall Semester 2009 AT UTHSC @ SAN ANTONIO BSN PROGRAM WANTS TO BUY BOOKS THEN LET ME KNOW.
I was a former students and have all the book you need for new incoming students to the program. We can work out a good price deal because I am trying to sell all my first semester nursing books. It is like new bc i barely touch it. It be easier if you are from live in houston so there won't be any mailing. If you from somewhere else then we can discuss a way either thru amazon or halfprice. I HAVE ALL THE BOOKS FOR FIRST SEMESTER OF BSN PROGRAM AT UTHSC @ SA
I'm so glad the wait is finally over and now I can relax a little.
