University of Southern Nevada and Back To California
hI EVERYONE, I thought the new USN accleration program start in Oct for 2010. I called and ask about it and they got my information and then schedule me for a phone advisor interview in a week or so. They told me to fax in my unoffical transcipt, WHICH I DID. I ask the guy on the phone for the application to fill out but he schedule me with an advisor appointment over the phone..Make me wonder if its a legit program or not. BUt anyhow..how does the process work for USN ACCERLERATION BSN PROGRAM. Is there an application to fill out after talking to the advisor over the phone? Can someone give some details about the program from USN. Thanks for your help!!

Fall 2009 UT Houston BSN Applicants
I am looking at nursing career again and 2007 and 2008 I applied to UTH SON and got to the interview stage each time I applied but no lucy of getting in. I am deciding to reapply this time again but I will be applying towards the fast track BSN PROGRAM since I have a four year degree. I was wondering would they still take my old NET score into consideration or I have to take this new HESI A2 TEST they have now. I know I was so close back then because I got interview now I don't think my chances are good since there this new HESI A2 exam. Is the HESI TEST the same as the NET test..anyone who have taken both ..can you please let me know. Thanks and hopefully someone can give me good advise if i should retake any courses as well.

nursing school at UTHSC in San Antonio
that is weird because I have a friend that attended uthscsa couple semesters ago and she was in her first semester and didn't do well and got kicked out. She end up dropping pharmcology before the drop date and got a W and then missed the final for one class so she went ahead and drop another class and got a WF because the professor won't let her retake the final. instead of making her transcipt look bad she went ahead and drop with WF. They end up kicking her out of the program and she wrote why she missed the final but they stlll wouldn't let her back in. She didn't understand why she wasn't able to get a second chance because technically she didn't fail a class... but i forgot what she told me so i was really surprise to hear your friend got a second chance after failing a class.

UTHSC at San Antonio fall 09
if any future nursing students entering the Fall Semester 2009 AT UTHSC @ SAN ANTONIO BSN PROGRAM WANTS TO BUY BOOKS THEN LET ME KNOW. I was a former students and have all the book you need for new incoming students to the program. We can work out a good price deal because I am trying to sell all my first semester nursing books. It is like new bc i barely touch it. It be easier if you are from live in houston so there won't be any mailing. If you from somewhere else then we can discuss a way either thru amazon or halfprice. I HAVE ALL THE BOOKS FOR FIRST SEMESTER OF BSN PROGRAM AT UTHSC @ SA CONGRATS TO WHOEVER GOT ACCEPT TO THE PROGRAM!!

University of Texas (Houston)
thanks everyone for their inputs i've called ut houston and they gave me some answers but i was wondering if i do get accepted and ut houston don't take any of my credits that im currently talking at uthsc in sa then should i even transfer at all? I really like to attend ut houston because its closer to home and also its a great program and was my first choice when i first applied to nursing. I'm 23 right now and only 6 hrs from graduating with a psy degree but i won't have time to finish that until after nursing program. If i do transfer and none of the credits is going transfer it would make me think i wasted a semester that i coudlve finish my psy degree and wasted money as well. So im over here contemplating on what to do if i do get accepted.... is it worth transfering and wasting money and a semester at uthsc in sa if my credit dont transfer or should i just stay put at uthsc in sa and graduate from there? Im planning to apply for my master in the future and i think being at ut houston will gain my chance of getting into a master program at ut houston thats why im thinking about transfering. Obviously if they take my transfer nursing credits if i get in then i will definitely transfer but if they dont then what would be the best chocie? but who know i might not even get accept which will make my decision easier and i have to stay at uthsc in sa....ehhe

University of Texas (Houston)
thanks brittn.. I'll do that and also you think by being in a nursing program already will hurt my chance of getting into ut houston. I've called and one girl that picked for the admission counselour told me it would defintitely help in a positive way in my admission if i mention that im in a nursing program already but i have to be making decent passing grade which i am currently am. BUt for some reason, i think its not gonna be an advantage if im in a nursing program already. They might say why should we accept this student when they in a program already. So i was wondering if anyone know being a program will hurt your chance of transfering or help it? Thanks hope someone can help me.

University of Texas (Houston)
hey i was wondering if anyone at ut Houston or anybody know from previous history if ut houston nursing accept any transfer nursing credits. I'm currently at UThsc in sa in my first semester and I recently got an interview at ut houston again. I got interviewed last fall 07 but did get a spot so i went ahead and applied for uthscsa and got it. Now Ut houston sent me a interview letter so i was thinking i would go if they accept transfer nursing credits. So i was wondering if anyone got any information about it. I would love to moved back home to houston and go to ut houston because I REALLY WANTED TO GO THERE BC IT WAS MY FIRST AND ONLY OPTION I WANTED. Hopefully someone can get me some information because there no point in me transfering at all if my nursing credits dont transfer at all.

UTHSCSA Spring '07
thanks giddygirl... om currently in an adn program at lamar for my first semester... u think its a good idea to mention that in the interview that im already in nursing school or will that hurt my chance? I really want to do bsn and since i didnt get accepted at uthsc in houston after the interview i had to take the adn program at lamar (which is pretty good since they had 100% passing rate on NCLEX LAST SEMESTER FOR THEIR ADN PROGRAM) . i WANT TO DO WHATEVER IT POSSIBLE SO I DONT BLOW MY CHANCE AT A BSN PROGRAM ESP FOR UTHSC IN SA. Is the math part of the test allow us to use calculator? You remb what type of questions they ask you and was it ask in a group setting since you said they bring you in as a group? thanks for helping and some advices.
