thank you for the advise fellow nursing dudes. I start volunteering in the ED this week. I hope I like it.

i got into university of southern nevada's 18 month accelerated bsn program. this is an unusual program which allows transfer students to get their bsn in 18 months with only 3 weeks off. this private university is accredited by the nlnac and are approved by the [color=#003399]northwest commission on colleges and universities. unfortunately they are still under provisional approval by the nevada state nursing boards until they have 80% pass rate on the nclex. my questions: 1. once i have my bsn from university of southern nevada and pass the nclex in california, will this allow me to get licensed in california and work without any additional school or tests? 2. will i be able to return to a california university to get my masters in nursing, provided that i recieve my bsn from university of southern nevada? i can't get the ca nursing boards to answer their phone or an email.

I am looking for an accelerated BSN program that does not require you to have your bachelors.

Was wondering if there are any accelerated BSN programs in florida in which you don't have a bachelors already. Any info would be greately appreciated.

I just got accepted to USN's accelerated BSN program. I will start in august and I'm done in 18 months. I live in CA and have applied to BSN programas here also, but they are 3 years long including the summers. USN is a private school and I am a little worried that the 18 months is too good to be true. I am very worried that when I am done with this program that I will not be able to get licenced in CA. From what I understand I must take the NCLEX in NV since I got my degree there; then in order to work in CA I must try to get endorsed into the state to get registered. I am affraid that I will have to take a bunch of extra classes in order to get regestered in CA. USN is also very expensive, but I get out 1.5 years early with my BSN. I figure that I can make close to a 80,000-100,000 in that year and half so it would be worth it. Any info you want to shoot my way would be awsome.

I will be graduating with my BSN in 2011. I was wondering if it is possible to work as a travle nurse right out of school? I don't know if you need experience before you can become a travel nurse.

Hello all, I am 23, and have just been accepted to University of Southern Nevada's accelerated BSN program. I will be done in 18 months. Because of work and all of the schooling I have not had time to volunteer in the hospital. I was wondering what areas does the male nurse prefer. I am really interested in the human body and the way it works. I was thinking the OR or the ER. I just wanted to get the oppinion of some fellow male nurses. Thank you.

I just got into University of Southern Nevada. I currently live in CA. When I complete my BSN do I have to take the NCLEX in NV or can I come back to CA to take it? I think I must take it in NV. Once I do how do I get back into CA to work? Must I take a CA exam? I am very confused to what the laws are on this. I don't understand why the NCLEX is not a national test; if you take it in one state you should be able to work in another. Why does each state have their own test?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of accelerated BSN programs that are for transfer students - not for students with a batchlors. I live in california; all of the state schools have 3 year programs. These schools have long breaks and waist a lot of time. I am looking for a program that is 2 years that is accelerated. I am willing to move. I think most of these schools would be private. I am currently looking at University of Southern Nevada, which has a 18 month program for transfer students

Hi, I was wondering if there is anyone who has graduated or is attending USN. Can you tell me what you thought of the school. I really like the 18 month program and how they teach the classes in blocks. Was or is it worth the money? Did you have any problem becoming a RN because the program is under provissional approval? Any info would be appreciated.
