Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!
Hey everyone! I know we're all getting super anxious with the admission period coming up pretty soon, but I wanted to weigh in on transcript evaluations.I applied at the end of June and just today received my transcript evaluation. I know people are saying it's not a big deal if you don't get one, but I HIGHLY suggest you ask for one if you haven't received on yet because on there it said I didn't take my HIST1302, but I did. If I hadn't received it, then I would have not been considered for admission because my prerequisites were "incomplete".
I left a message for the Registrar's Office at 2:30pm today and got called back by 4:30pm, so he was great at responding. He fixed the issue!
So please check you guys!
I haven't been able to get ahold
of anyone about my transcript issue :/
I looked at a previous thread for UTHSC (Spring 2014) and found that people started getting acceptance emails mid-October. So, hopefully we do not have too long to wait! Also, I saw that someone with very high scores got a denial: GPA 3.8, HESI 94%, CT 900.... At the same time someone with lower scores got accepted. That's a bit discouraging and confusing of course, but who knows, maybe they did not have all of their pre-requisites complete or correctly accounted for. Or maybe there were some other reasons. At least we can all find out soon, in 2-3 weeks according to the thread, and start making plans.

I don't think anyone knows how the process of selection goes for this school right? I was rejected from UTMB with a GPA of 3.59 on pre reqs and 3.75 on science, and 75 on the TEAS. I got a 90 on the hesi and CT 820. I really hope i get in because this is my last choice and i'm an international student so...

Keep calling the Registrar's Office. Call every 15 minutes if you have to until you can get in contact with someone. Leave messages too. I feel like being able to talk to someone on the phone gets you farther than if you email. I've sent multiple emails with no avail.
