Hey guys, just wanted to begin a thread for all UT Health SON hopefuls who are applying for Spring 2016. I look forward to getting to know all of you as we begin to play what seems to be the longest waiting game ever! I am more than confident that each and every one of us will be receiving our acceptance letters around this same time next year:) Feel free to share anything regarding the application process and/or ask any questions that you may have!
Hey everyone, I've been following this thread and there are a lot of questions concerning the transcript evals. I applied to UTHSC last fall and unfortunately I was denied. My HESI scores were not that high so I retook it for this Springs admissions. If you don't receive a evaluation don't be alarmed. I never received mine during the admissions process until after I got my denial letter.
Are you looking at your transcript eval? If so, on the left hand side under each category, there should be an "OK" if that category of classes is considered complete. If it's not, it tells you how many hours you need for that category. Not sure if this is what you were asking for exactly, hope I helped some! :)
Thank you! You answered my question.
Sooooo, I was trying to look for Spring 2015 thread for UTHSC to see when they started receiving acceptances, and I can't find it?! It seems as if it was removed or something? I see summer 2015 thread but not springs?
Hi valxoxo7. I remember reading that thread and the earliest date for acceptance letter/email received was either 2 or 3 days before Halloween. Hope that answers your question. :-)
Hey everyone! I know we're all getting super anxious with the admission period coming up pretty soon, but I wanted to weigh in on transcript evaluations.
I applied at the end of June and just today received my transcript evaluation. I know people are saying it's not a big deal if you don't get one, but I HIGHLY suggest you ask for one if you haven't received on yet because on there it said I didn't take my HIST1302, but I did. If I hadn't received it, then I would have not been considered for admission because my prerequisites were "incomplete".
I left a message for the Registrar's Office at 2:30pm today and got called back by 4:30pm, so he was great at responding. He fixed the issue!
So please check you guys!
I received my transcript evaluation today so at least that's something! Was nice to see okay for each section. I had called last week and was told there are well over 900 applicants. Those aren't great odds!
gee I am starting to feel better that I decided to have a fallback option of going to UTMB if I dont get accepted in UTHSC
