UTHSC-Houston Spring 2013

I am new to allnurses.com and I wanted to start a topic for the Spring 2013 applicants at UTHSC Houston. Where we can keep each other posted on the process as it nears. I have yet to take the HESI but i wonder if anyone else has taken it and what their score was. I will compile my GPA's later and post them on here.

Also, in calculating GPA, if you've had to take a class twice for personal reasons, how much will they count off of your transcript? Is the grade for that class the latest grade or the average of the two grades?

What study guides are you using? I'm taking my test in a few weeks as well... I have not had A&P II (taking it this fall), but I've been going through the chapters over the endocrine system, circulatory system, reproductive system, ect. I'm hoping this will help with the A&P section.

Hi everyone! After months of reading threads on allnurses, I have finally decided to join. I just finished sending in my application and HESI scores, and I feel so relieved. Best of luck to everyone who is taking the test soon! :)

Hi there! welcome! I am studying for the HESI right now and I know were provided a calculator but is there section that doesnt let you use one or no?

For instance, would they divide the math portion and make you do half by hand and the other half with a calculator?

HOLY COW!!!!! I just went to sign up for the HESI, and it says it takes up to 21 BUSINESS days to get to the school!!!! I am FREAKING OUT now, because if that's true, today would have been the last day to take it!!!!!!

My test is planned for August 10th, next Friday! What do I do!?!?? Do they really take that long?!

My scores took about 2 weeks to get there. I did have to call admissions to confirm that they received my scores though. After I talked to admissions, they took my hesi scores off of my to do list. I think you should be fine! :)

I heard that they send the test scores immediately to the school and that usually only takes a day for it to process. I'm taking mine on the 25th.

You should probably call the testing center for clarification, its never good to go off anyones word. I believe they are open mon-sat if you are scheduled with a prometric testing center.

Hey guys!I'm new to the forums and have been reading them for awhile. Finally decided to join :) I'm applying for the Spring 2013 semester. Hoping to meet some people before Spring 2013 starts so I might know someone if I get accepted!

I took the HESI on July 22nd. Fingers crossed! Is anyone going to the August 8th info session? I'm planning to. If anyone else is going let me know! :)
