This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
Good luck to everyone!!
The only rejection letters that have been sent out are first round, meaning if you didn't meet the minimum requirements. If your hesi scores weren't greater than 75, or your pre-req gpa wasn't a... 3.0, I believe? That means if you haven't gotten a letter you met all the requirements and are being considered. Sounds kinda silly, but a lot of people still apply with a 74 on one section of the hesi, or a 700 on CT, or a 2.4 gpa, etc. Those people have received their letters that they are out.
I would like to hear the answer to amortentiatnx's question, too. Those are the two schools I applied to. I made a spreadsheet yesterday trying to compare them.. I think it's really going to come down to who I can persuade to take my pharmacology credit. (it doesn't hurt to try, right?)

I know the question was addressed to taylorxteddy, but from what I understand the only people that have received rejection letters are the ones who were missing something and were unable make it by dead line...so rejection letter should not go out until after the top candidates are notified and once they accept/deny the offer so that those on the "wait list" can have an opportunity for a seat in the class. Some may not hear until much later...good lord....more waiting! Patience is a virtues and apparently a test for us all. I'm case any one is worried about their recent bxi can recommend a wondeful clinic for OCD and anxiety here I'm Houston....lol...seriously at this point I feel er all may need a lil support!
