UTHSC (Houston) Spring

Published

This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)

I'm applying with the following stats:

Pre-req GPA: 3.21

Science GPA: 3.66

Overall GPA: 2.81

I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)

Good luck to everyone!!

hey sara (my name is sara too lol)

utlink changed my tsi status today as well! now im just waiting for my transcript eval.. then i just have to wait til nov.. sounds so far away!!!

hi sarah!, i dont run into alot of other sarahs, it is soo long, but i think it will be sooner than she says.

I don't know guys... I see it differently. Just with the other schools I'm dealing with, it seems like they keep throwing out 'no later than' dates, and they never make the deadlines. I'm thinking first week of November will be the EARLIEST we see anything... hate to be the pessimist, but I'm just being real

i think we just need to get over the time-span, and try try try to preoccupy ourselves with something else.

We just need to stop worrying so much and enjoy our notinnursingschool time before we have no life! lol

Alrighty, I finally heard from UT today! They are fixing my UT link to say that they received my transcripts and are updating my TSI status. They're sending me a transcript eval, but she went ahead and told me that I'm missing philosophy (which I'm currently in) and 3 credits of English (LSC has my AP credits all jacked up!).

Anyway, yayyy!

i got alot of Ap and clep credits as well that UT jacked up originally

@Katybusymom and Amymit, where are you guys taking Stats at? I have it next semester at Hccs and just curious to know what professor you guys had?

dont take Dr G for psyc stats, what ever you do

does he teach at Hcc?

@Gillty, I took Statistics at UTA. It was one of my first classes back to school and I thought it would likely be the most difficult so I took it then. I thought that the UTA program was going to be great being an on-line program, but they rope you in and tell you many things that aren't true! Needless to say, I am applying other places!!!

@gilly, its a she her name starts with j last name g, i cant say their name per, all- nurses rule

@saraiish yeah i heard about that one... horrible... i know just who it is...
