This thread is dedicated to the applicants of UT Houston's Spring 2012 application period. I've seen various threads posted throughout the discussion forum regarding the upcoming application period, but they are scattered and hard to keep track of. Maybe if we keep our discussion in one place it will be easier for us all to follow :)
I'm applying with the following stats:
Pre-req GPA: 3.21
Science GPA: 3.66
Overall GPA: 2.81
I know my chances of getting in aren't great with my overall GPA, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway! Please post your stats, your thoughts, your experiences, ideas and opinions here:)
Has anyone heard anything about when acceptance letters might be sent out? I know last semester it took almost 2 months, but I'm curious if anyone has actually asked and received a response?
If we go by last semester then we should be hearing around next week (mid-October). But, I know someone from the forum called and asked recently and they were told that we would be finding out the first week of November (or around there). Let's hope we find out soon! I feel like I am losing my mind (and I am driving my husband crazy). I'm trying to focus on completing my pre-reqs, but UTlink keeps calling to me! I'm sure I'm not alone in this either, right guys?!
To be honest, I am kind of resigning myself to the fact that I won't get in this semester. It's just so competitive and I do not have a previous degree and I have taken all of my pre-reqs at HCC. Unfortunately, UTHSC is the only school I applied to. Oh, well...there's always next semester.
Well, does that mean we should know for sure by 4-6 or it's not official until you recieve a letter. I guess I question this because I thought there would be a time limit to accept an offer. Which date do you go by?
To be honest I think she told me a later date just to be one the safe side. I really don't think it will take up till novrmber. She said 6th by the very latest but something by the 4th
That's lame lol I hate that so many schools take forever to give you a response on acceptance or rejection... Right now I am taking a class that I'm not sure I even need and could of avoided taking it and not paying money if the schools were faster with their processing...
I e-mailed them a third time by taking katybusymom's advice. We'll see how this goes. I called today and didn't get through once again. I guess I just have the worst timing or something.
I'm honestly interested to see how everyone gets their stuff ready to start classes in such a short time between November and January including holidays... :u

ut has changed my tsi status! after a call from the registrar, i also found out for sure i only have arts left which is almos over, it in an 8 week session.

utlink changed my tsi status today as well! now im just waiting for my transcript eval.. then i just have to wait til nov.. sounds so far away!!!
