Hello everyone, I wanted to create a forum for the UTHSC BSN Spring 2017 applicants. I plan to apply to this program, TWU, UTA, Lamar, and SHSU after I finish my pre-reqs this summer. Also, I still have to take the Hesi and Teas test this summer as well. I have attended three colleges throughout my college career and do not have the best GPA at either one of them. The school I am currently attending my stats are as follows:
I'm going to retake it next month after I've completed A&P 1 and 2 and studied a lot more. I'm praying that I get at least 85% or higher in each section next time around. I hate that I have to retake the whole test even though I only failed one section!
I know it sucks, but I also failed it my first time taking the HESSI (2 years ago). I studied and the next time I took it I passed with a good score! My husband helped make mnemonics for the math conversions and also for the A&P portions! Remember to have faith and study! You can do this!!
Why dont you look on past forums? I have seen cases like that, but in other schools. I actually have only seen one that got in at Sam with a 3.2. Are you taking any summer courses to try and boost your GPA? What was your HESSI score if you dont mind me asking
Wow that's a great score! I would try to apply anyway. I see it like this - the worse that can happen is they say no & then you try again. Good luck to you! I am sure it will work out for you
Does anyone know why I cannot register to take the HESI in July? It is only giving me the April-June option and there are no seats available in June anymore. Do I have to wait until July to register?
