Hello friends!

I'm creating this as a communication board for new students/applicants to talk on about:

  • Current GPA -- science & overall
  • Requirements needed to apply
  • HESI test requirements
  • Applications -- status or general info
  • Acceptance!

A quick intro-- My name is Maira and I've followed previous threads on here and I love how much information you can get from it! (I followed and read ALL of UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016)

I'm applying at UThealth for the nursing pacesetter program for Spring 2017. The application is due by Aug. 15 and I haven't submitted it yet because I haven't taken the HESI! I'm getting anxious about taking it, have any of y'all taken yours yet?!

Also, I've been meaning to stop by the school and see if my pre-reqs meet their requirements. I'm a bit confused on whether they will average 2 scores of the same class or not. For instance, a long time ago I took a English course and got a F (I was careless and young) and now I retook it and got a A. Another thing that I've been wondering about is what exactly the 5 hours of "electives" are-- will they accept a math class for it?

Well I look forward to meeting all of you!!!! Good luck!!!! :inlove:

I have been asked for additional transcripts. I had 4 outstanding classes at the beginning of the semester, 2 finished on Friday and were posted 5 minutes ago. I just sent that transcript. The final 2 classes are at two separate institutions and I was asked to send those again when they have posted.

Hello guys! Got my course evaluation but what does >R mean?

I wonder that too (what the >R means)? I haven;t received a recent evaluation but when I applied for the Fall '16 term the one I received had that and I couldn't figure it out.

I'm so ready for the premiere of the walking dead S7.

I think Glenn died. í ½í¸©

Where do you find all of the info about the titers that are required?

thank you guys!!

Good Morning fellow applicants :)

in anticipation of getting in, I decided to get a start on the tasks we will need to take care of before starting.

I signed up for the CPR for healthcare providers. The Junior Leaque of Houston offers free classes. I am enrolled in a course that is held on Nov 2 and Nov 9 from 6pm-9.

I have also started my immunizations.

Thanks for the great idea! I enrolled in the 11-28 class!

So funny(ish) story, my friend that started this Fall with UTH received a transcript evaluation in the mail yesterday... "Dear xxxx thank you for your application...here's your transcript evaluation"

Funny enough I still haven't received mine!

YellowRoseofTX,

That's very funny!

Anyway, I moved 2 weeks ago, and I am looking for mine, I usually have all of my paperwork in order... but right now I'm a little lost, because I'm still unpacking my desk items LOL

I think >R means under the required hours or less than the required hours of that certain field or section.

Hi everyone!

This is my first time commenting on this thread! The waiting game to find out if I am accepted it or not is killing me! I have not received a transcript evaluation yet so I don't know if that is a bad thing or not. From what I heard I should not worry but I can't help it.

So I found my original transcript evaluation, and the >R seems to denote more than the required hours. For example where I took Chemistry, it was 5 credit hours instead of the traditional 4, so I have that symbol next to the Chemistry requirement.

Have you heard anything from uth yet?
